Myth Golf & Banquet - Little Myth Par-3
About
The Myth Golf & Banquet used to be known as Beaver Creek before a major renovation in 2007. The former course was transformed into a scenic 18-hole championship golf course and a nine-hole, par-3 course. The courses were redone from the tees to the greens, one major improvement was the removal of all artificial tees. The 18-hole golf course has a traditional but challenging design that is still playable for all skill levels. The short course offers great practice for beginners and it's gentle enough for juniors. It's a good layout for families to play, but more advanced players can also enjoy a fast, casual round of practice. The Myth has a scenic location adjacent to Lake Orion, it sits on protected land that provides a home to a variety of wildlife. Sandhill cranes can often be seen throughout the golf course.

Hole 13, fun par 3 Photo submitted by Tait2dn on 05/09/2013
Overall one of the nicest courses in the area
Found this course on GolfNow as a hot deal. Managed to get a full 18 holes with a cart for $26, not bad! I was surprised to see how well kept the course was. This course may be harder in the fall due to all of the fallen leaves. On about 4 of the 18 holes I played there were quite a few leaves on the putting greens/fairways which made it difficult. Other than that the course was great to play. It was a little bit more difficult than other courses I’ve played throughout the season. I give it an 8/10. Definitely coming back next season
Awesome Course
Thank you for a great time out on the big course today! Food was great as the staff was too.
Look forward to play the par 3, I believe you call it the little Myth. next time we come in.
The price is perfect!
Thank you
Horrible tee boxes, worst pace of play.
Dirt tee boxes on most holes, ones that have a little grass are extremely uneven. Warden allowing groups of four splitting into groups of two. Pace turns to trash. Go elsewhere, literally, anywhere else. D+
Won’t Be Back
Played here a couple times in 2023 , enjoyed it the fmfirst couple times. Thought I’d try it out again but not what I remembered. Several holes pin locations were placed to where your ball would roll off green every time if you did not sink the first putt. Landed just on the front side of green on 11 and put my putt 2 ft away behind the cup and it rolled off the green after stopping. Putt 4 more times and the same thing happened. This also happened on hole 6 and one more hole on the back. It’s not even about not being a great golfer , it’ was literally impossible to stay on the green where the pins were today. Makes you wanna leave.
and then I go into club house after hole 9 to grab a beverage , let a group go on ten , was waiting on the tee box and the dude who just sold me my drink came outside and said “excuse me sir when is your tee time ?”
256 bud I already played 9 and you just sold me this drink. Mulberry hills is way better for ten dollars less
Good 7.5./10, has room for improvement
First, the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. There was a course ranger cruising around, but looked like he stayed around the clubhouse (surrounding 4-6 holes) for the most part.
Best areas for improvement would be on-course cart for food/drinks and a restaurant would go a long way. Along with the quality of tee boxes. I think people are willing to help out with divots if you leave sand with seed on the tee box vs. just showing up a to a beat box. Also, people... fix your divots. Not hard.
I'd recommend the course, but they have room for improvement. Overall I'd give it 7.5/10 (Sept 2024)
