Sunset view of 13th green. Hardest, longest hole in the golf course. Green is deep, look where the pin is Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

17th green. Three tiered with two sections guarded by water. You end up on the wrong third of the green and you may have to putt through some fringe or chip over some rough WITH YOUR BALL ON THE GREEN in order to reach the right tier. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

Left of the 1st green. Tee shot is 40 to 50 feet downhill and approach shot is slightly uphill again. The entire green slopes from back left to front right. Do not go in the left bunker especially with this pin placement. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 08/25/2019

Great course for golf
Great course but you need your own pull cart on walking condition during the restricted period of COVID 19. Thanks!
One of the more hilly courses in the area
Always a fun round here. Seems to have more elevation changes than most of the courses in the area, so walking the course is definitely not for the faint of heart! A couple of the holes were a little water-logged, but that's to be expected this time of year.
Fun and Challenging
This was my first time to Devil's Ridge and the first day Michigan golf had opened back up since quarantine closed it down. Course was in good shape considering no one had been on it for some time. Greens are fun and challenging and it is an intriguing layout. Will definitely come back.
Beautiful course
Played the course second time in last couple of days; I loved it. I can’t wait to play in summer; I am sure it will be more fun.
Course is interestingly challenging which makes it fun to play.
Great Intermediate Course
I have been going here several times each season for 10 years due to its fair rates and relatively close location. The staff are very kind and the beer cart always shows up at the right time!
Devils Ridge
Beautiful day in October to play golf in Michigan
Course was in great shape for this time of year with plush fairways and greens that ran true and quick. . Grounds keeping were up too special.
Enjoyed the par 4 ‘s for both the length and challenging approach shots ( used every club in my bag today)
Par 3’s Averaged 155-175 from the black tees and yardage was fairly true
Enjoyed the round except for number 18 where I drove past the fairway into the deep stuff ....haha
Appreciate the staff’s assistance on today’s round
Thanks for the great round
Surprised
One of my favorite courses away from Detroit Suburbs.
Recently airified and no alert was posted. One green had been sanded and not swept yet. Would give a higher rating if not for that. May have been disappointed had I paid more.
Good elevation changes and fall colors coming in.
A Gem...
This is my favorite course to play in the area. Spectacular views..wildlife..course layout..elevations.
The staff is also the best. Some of my best rounds and funnest times have happened here. I will be going again
very soon before they close.
Devil of a course
this was my second time put in this course this year I have played it in the past and always find it challenging. there are a lot of blind shots off of the and in the fair way also. the view from The First Tee Box is one of my favorites. the greens were fast today combined with the slopes made for a challenging putting day. No birdies today!
Very slow play
Played behind 3 groups who were together.
They took for ever on the green. The group in front did not keep up . They did not realize they were not on a picnic.
I quit after 10 holes . Got tired of waiting after every shot.
I will play again only early in the morning . make sure not behind this outing business.
Great Value
The place is sweet ..a lot of people don't play it cuz it's Target golf but it's a great golf course really well maintained and a super good deal for the money.
The Ultimate Hidden Gem. Worth a 50 Minute Drive
I remember playing this course for the first time last year in a league match against Oxford and I shot a pathetic 50. I felt really sour about this course and I told the Oxford coach that it was no wonder how this course got its name. It’s a true nightmare if you don’t play it right. I decided to come back to this course after a long time on the way home from vacation, and it was just as difficult as ever. The front 9 offers a more links style of play with long carries over water hazards while the back 9 is more more forested and has a lot more hills. (Hole 11 is the prime example of the elevation changes). The greens are fast and roll true, and many of them are three or even four tiered. The slopes on the greens aren’t outrageous despite the much hillier surrounding terrain, so it’s not like your giving away the hole on four or five footers. Bunkers are somewhat hard especially on the front 9 and it it sometimes a struggle to sink your club deep in the sand. In the course’s defense, however, bunkers are few and far between. There are three to four hole stretches where you won’t come across a single one of them. The staff, even the rangers are really nice and are helpful with directions and have the pin placement location on the starter booth, as there have been some recent changes to a few holes and the tenth is far away from the clubhouse and sometimes when the place is packed people go off both nines. It’s a course that is not only one to return to for the money or the challenge (72.2 rating), by the way it’s 29 bucks a guy for 18 holes on the weekend after 3pm, but this course is one where you can’t ever play it the same way twice, because of all the different ways to play the big carry or narrow holes depending on weather, wind, level of performance in prior holes of the round, etc. Local knowledge is a big advantage here. Worth the drive from the metro area. Oxford, I’M NOT SHOOTING 50 AGAINST YOU GUYS AGAIN!!!!!!
