The 4th hole, short par 4 at 330. Uphill tee shot where you have to make a field goal. Out of bounds behind the green and a deep awake left. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 10/26/2020
-
The 5th hole, instant death if you top or chunk it. long par 3 at 208 yards. Over water to a very small green that slopes severely from back left to front right. Miss long and you’ll be sorry. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 10/26/2020

Behind the green on #5. Tough pin position in the back of the green. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 10/26/2020

The 15th green. Long par 3 at 195. OB to the right, deep valley before the green. Beautiful fall foliage on this hole. Big green, look where the pin is. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 10/26/2020

The 18th fairway. Beautiful view of the lake. Easy green to hit if your tee shot is in the fairway. No trees to worry about and all you have to do is land it short and let it bounce down the hill. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 10/26/2020

Even Better Than The First Time!
I said I’d be back at this place, and I was. If I could give this course six stars, I would! I got a junior rate this time because I’m still in high school and they asked how old I was, and on top of the fall rates, I only had to pay 17 dollars to walk 18 holes on a Saturday! YOU CANNOT BEAT THAT! Course was in just as good of shape and just as fun of a layout as I remembered. I’ll tell you what, more golf courses need to be doing what Oxford Hills is doing. The land this course was built on was barely changed at all apart from the plateaus needed to flatten out some of the tees and greens. There aren’t any bunkers but the hilly terrain makes up for it perfectly! It’s a low budget course to maintain, so therefore, they can charge low rates. You’d see more people playing golf and poorer areas making more golf courses if they follow what Oxford Hills is doing. The greens rolled nice and fast and the fairways and tees were just as nice as in September. The only critique I have for this place, is that there is no color system or grids to tell where the flags are on the green, which is a little inconvenient but it’s not a huge deal. Definitely going to start making this course a regular stop. Worth the 40 minute drive from Troy. Way to go Oxford Hills!

Another Great Oxford Golf Course!
Let me first start by saying this has become one of, if not my all time favorite golf course. I found this place on a GolfNow hot deal for 19 bucks to walk on a Friday and it was meant to be that I’d say yes and drive out here and play it! Best golf decision I ever made! The entire course from start to finish was challenging, intriguing, and beautiful. The course borders a big lake and the views of it from some of the hilltops with the water tower in the background are nothing short of breathtaking! The very first hole is a big dogleg left that wraps around the north end of the lake and from that point, I was hooked. The conditions of the course were excellent. Tee boxes nice and flat, nice short grass, not patchy at all, apart from the 4th tee which has a big old tree right next to it where its roots spread to the tee box and ruined the cart path but that’s not their fault. Fairways were in great shape, good length, and the greens were very challenging, breaking, and fast! A very nice mix of long and short holes. Did I mention? TOUGH. PAR. THREES., two of them north of 200 and 2 of them over water. The seventeenth par 5 is a BEAST! 649 YARDS (from the tips)!!!! I loved the challenge of it though. And I’ll tell you what, the hole after that was a downhill par 4 with a perfect view of the lake. It was at sunset, too, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful hole on a golf course in my life. You have to see it to believe it. It’s insane! I will be back for sure!
Beautiful Day
What a wonderful day to play golf the Sun was out and it was really nice. A little slow but that's to be expected on A-day like today . I made 10 pars and 8 bogeys which is a pretty good round. Hopefully the golf gods will give us a few more pleasant days to get some more golf in.
GolfNow did not give any chance to use the promotion code

Nice course with good scenery
Nice course and well maintained. Some fun and challenging holes due to blind shots, water and elevation but mostly open fairways. Will definitely play again and I would recommend.
Good friendly course!
I live near here and frequent this course. It appears to be getting better, this year the course seemed nicer than it has in years past. This is one of the most ball friendly courses & great for learning. It can be long in some places but always wide open. Great staff too with great pro shop / bar prices!
Front 9 , meh. Back 9 yea.
Front 9 is crammed and short. Back 9 opens up and plays wonderfully. Had fun. Fairways and greens are in good condition and play well.
A little confusing
We really enjoyed playing this course - except we found the layout of holes 7 and 8 a bit confusing. - but overall a well maintained course. Would definitely play again
Great conditions and value
The greens and fairways were in great condition. Plus a good value on the weekend.
Oxford secret
Great little course. Front 9 short and fairly easy. Back 9 a little more challenging. Pretty course, no bunkers but plenty of trees to contend with if drive is not accurate.
Sooo Close
Had a few hours to kill in between appointments today so I was able to get out on the course for a quick 9. Enclosed you will find a picture that shows how close I came to the 1st hole in one of my life. It ended up being a birdie hole but wow was that close!!
Confusing
I played this course based on the 4 star rating which is why I am leaving a review. If you are a weekend hack that wants to get away and cares nothing about the course or architecture all good. But a course w 4 stars I expect some semblance of a golf course. I have many issues with the course but will just state a few
- first hole is adjacent to parking lot with giant telephone polls and wires running down the fairway if you can call it that
- the front 9 is the worst course routing I’ve ever seen back 9 resembles a golf course
- played back tees front 9 2700 yards backs 9 3600 both par 36 very confusing 500 yard par 4 and 650 yard par 5 on a 6500 yards par 72
Interesting Course
Layout is unique. An over 600 yard par 5 and a hole with a telephone pole in middle of fairway.
That said, greens were in great condition and so were most of the fairways. Front side a bit gimmicky with blind hill shots. You need to get your drive on top of the hill.
Back side more like a traditional northern course. We had no traffic in front or behind. Very relaxing round.
Good warm up course.
