About
Located just three miles south of downtown Portland, Willow Wood Golf Club sprawls across acres of rolling countryside laced with meandering creeks and ribbons of mature woodlands. The naturally hilly terrain lent itself perfectly to a challenging championship course. Golfers will encounter a range of ups and downs but the golf course is a manageable 6,200 yards from the back tees. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The course will test your skills, requiring creative shot making throughout. Each hole requires a different strategy and presents risk-reward opportunities, you're guaranteed to use every club in your bag. One of Willow Wood Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-3 eighth. It has a sloped green with bunkers on the left, but a birdie might be a possibility if the wind is on your side.

Willow Wood Country Club
Course conditions were great for March in lower Michigan. Green conditions were good and seem to be improving year over year.
Best Value in Golf
Tough to give 5 stars to a rural track in the middle of nowhere. But, for the buck, arguably one of the best values in golf ever. Fun layout, short but lots of doglegs, very picturesque, rolling terrain, and very fair. We'll be back.
Good value
Played early and course in good shape. Many blind shots off the tee. Good luck from the blues, especially 18!
My only gripe is no 150 stick in the fairway floor reference on dog legs. Good value !
Really nice
The course is in great shape. Pin placements were tough, but manageable. Staff was very polite and helpful.
Hidden Gem
Willow Wood is one of my favorite courses around this area. The staff are always so friendly, the course is always in great condition, and the prices are very generous.

Not open
Showed up 6:45 for tee time at 7:00 i booked and clubhouse was closed and nobody around got frustrated waited till 7:20 and finally left for home.

The course offers great challenges as well as forgiveness. Always in good condition.
Pleasantly surprised!
Excellent value. Greens were rolling nice. Bunkers need some work but not terrible. Interesting layout with some elevation changes and risk reward shots. I will be back for sure.
