Super Lynx layout
Wonderful Lynx layout. Loved the par 5s - particularly the 8th, 11th and 17th..The par 3s are delightful as well.
No trees so put on plenty of sunscreen. The back black tees are really challenging on a number of holes.
Stay in the fairway as the long Heather is really punishing.
Having seen the amateur at Bandon Dunes really wanted lay a similar looking course. This was ideal as it used as a course for an amateur qualifier.
Friendly staff and reasonable pace of play.
Would recommend this course.
Friendly Staff, Pace of Play An Issue
As others have mentioned pace of play here on the weekends is far worse than comparable courses. Nice staff, course has always in good shape whenever I play. Just prepare and all for a 5+ hour round on weekends.
Great Links Style Course
Beautiful links style course just north of Rochester. The fairways are pretty forgiving and the greens were in great shape.
Pace of play
Plan to wait long time to play the next hole, it happens every time I play there.many golfers on this course have no respect for others,or generally the rules of the game.
Nice
I links style course with some terrain, ponds, and streams to deal with. In fine shape during a dry, hot summer. The greens here have always been a bit on the slow side, but some of them are so contoured they are as fast as possible. Sand traps much better maintained than average. Fairways in fine condition. They seem to have cut back on the severe heather areas a bit compared to my last round here. The course is rather defenseless when there is no wind. Pace of play is at times an issue. Our weekday round took 5 hours.
Great Value
Really enjoyed this golf course. Links style, but played pretty soft. Tees, fairways and greens all in great shape. Layout was unique and challenging. Would love to give this track a run when it gets firmed up. Could really be a good test. Overall for the value, you can't beat it. I will certainly be back again soon!
It's Ok
Course is just ok. decent course and conditions. Some dangerous steps leading up to tee boxes. Be careful!! They seem to be working to fix them though. Will probably play again.
