Dont let the delspudated parking liot fool you. This is an incredibly fun course that is as clise to a links as youll get in SE Michigan.

Blackheath

I haven't played this course in a few years, but my son and I decided to play it. We found the course to be in great shape and somewhat challenging especially the par 3s. The wind was blowing at a good clip, so it made it even a bit harder. The greens are large, in great shape and challenging, but it was a good golf experience. Just know that the front nine doesn't go back to the clubhouse and it's quite a distance to get a snack. Didn't have much interaction with the staff.

Course conditions were good layout is strange. Place was pretty busy but apparently people had no clue where to go from hole to hole. Carts were routinely going back and forth between holes like buzzing flies. Also witnessed people shooting on wrong greens. Not sure if it's the layouts fault or just general idiot players?
