Slowest round ever due to overbooking
We did twilight and stared at 3pm didn’t finish until 8:45! They double book between online and call ins! Course layout is good but you can’t enjoy it when you’re waiting on every single shot! Then pull up to next tee and have 2 groups waiting to hit every few holes. Will not be back unless they get the pace of play figured out. Sad cause my group of 8 would play there frequently due to it being close to all of us
Blackheath
Great value for the price thru GolfNow. Pin placements on the greens were quite difficult. Felt like a little overlap on course layout. Scary to think about how some golf balls could come fly your way. Didn’t know the course didn’t sell beer, so that was a little bit of a letdown. Overall, we had a good round and the weather was very nice. There were beautiful views because of the elevation changes and the long shadows during twilight hours. I would still recommend people play the course.
Early spring golf
Course in great condition - due to rain and grounds crew.
The carts leave a lot to be desired since windshield was broken and the cart kept shutting off on us.
The clubhouse is minimalist but the staff is friendly and courteous.
The tee times need to be extended due to large amount of backups between groups. Which is usually the case because a few holes tempt golfers to ‘cut the corners’ at times.
Overall it’s a good course, but not for the premium they are usually charging golfers.
I would recommend the course, but plan for a 4.5+ hour round (minimum) and be sure to bring your own beverages.
Bleckheath great links experience
Dont let the delspudated parking liot fool you. This is an incredibly fun course that is as clise to a links as youll get in SE Michigan.
Great, Fun, Open Course
New golfer (only 2 months in at this point) but had a great time. Nice and open, but still a fun layout.
Blackheath
I haven't played this course in a few years, but my son and I decided to play it. We found the course to be in great shape and somewhat challenging especially the par 3s. The wind was blowing at a good clip, so it made it even a bit harder. The greens are large, in great shape and challenging, but it was a good golf experience. Just know that the front nine doesn't go back to the clubhouse and it's quite a distance to get a snack. Didn't have much interaction with the staff.
Great course
Great course. Staff is awesome. I keep coming back.
