About
Located just minutes from Ann Arbor, Rustic Glen Golf Club sits at the edge of the Irish Hills area. The rolling topography provides the
ideal terrain for a round of golf. Originally opened in 1968 as a nine-hole course, it was completely redesigned and expanded to 18 holes in 1999. The layout measures to 6,469 yards from the tips. It's not particularly long but there are some holes that are drivable. There are also plenty of opportunities to work on your short game. Strategically placed bunkers frame the fast greens and the gently rolling hills guarantee that you 'll come across some uneven lies, as well as some great views. The scenic view from sixth tee stretches across the Saline Valley. Don't get too distracted by the view on this hole though; this long par 5 demands your attention.

Nice gem
I really enjoyed this course. The hills add a tougher aspect to easier-looking holes. There are a good number of blind approach shots to the greens and elevated tee boxes, which I enjoy. The greens are pure, with tons of slope in them. The course has everything you might want, from practice greens and driving range to the pub/grill after your round. I didn’t grab food, but it smelled good coming off the grill. The layout is slightly confusing; it could use more dirt paths, but that’s not a big deal. Conditions were better than some 50–60$ rounds I’ve played in the past, definitely worth the 38$. Most holes are wider than your average course, so it helps out golfers like me, who slice the ball on 60% of drives. I only lost 4, which is a rarity for me; on average, I lose 8–10 rounds (I'm not good by any means lol ). Overall, I’d rate the course 4.6/5 stars.
First Time
I really liked the course, great for a mid handicap plenty of opportunities to score. Pace of play was fine until we caught up to the group of 7, then it slowed down quite a bit. Groups behind us were getting pretty upset. I will go back for sure.
2 hr round
Played by myself in a cart, one of the quickest rounds of my life. Greens were great, fairways and tee boxes need a little work. Great layout, wide fairways, rough is pretty thick. Gas carts and mine didn’t have a lot of power. Had a good time, will play again if I’m in the area.
Always fun!
I've played this course countless times over the years going back to when it was a 9 holer. The experience has only gotten better every year. I hope to play it for many years to come.
The Glen on a Saturday in November
The course was in excellent playing condition. Greens were well taken care of. Especially for this late in the season. I appreciate them being open while other places have been shutting down around them for the season.
Had fun!
The course was in good shape for fall, gentleman working was friendly and helpful, got the round on a hot deal so it was pretty affordable. Had fun, the driving range being right there and in good condition is awesome. Is right on my way to the airport and detroit from home, so will be a more consistent stop when I am heading that way no doubt.
Good time
Course was in pretty good condition. Rough was a little long, but if you hit the fairway you don't have to worry about it right. 🤣 Friendly staff. This was my 2nd time playing the course and I plan on playing it from now on. Good times.
Average Public Course
The staff is very friendly and helpful during check-in. The tee boxes are in decent shape. Some boxes are not flat and I had to re-tee a few times to make sure I was level. The greens are in decent shape and run pretty true. The majority of the greens seem to be the same shape. The fairways had some dry spots, but overall not bad for this type of course. For the price we paid for a Hot Deal on the weekend, we couldn't complain.
Now, for the negative. When we started on the back nine, we didn't see anyone until the 12th hole where we caught up to a group of SIX golfers. Yes, SIX on a weekend!! There was no ranger on the course and the group would not allow us to play through until the 16th hole even though we were a twosome and drove up to each hole before their 4th person teed off.
I would recommend this course to anyone who lives in the area, but I would not recommend playing if you live more than 40 minutes away.
Friendly course
Everything went well, pace of play was perfect, greens and fairwats in good condition. Price was great and I would certainly recommend it for any leisure golfer out there, and nearby to SAline and Ann Arbor.
