Rustic Glen Golf Course

About
Located just minutes from Ann Arbor, Rustic Glen Golf Club sits at the edge of the Irish Hills area. The rolling topography provides the
ideal terrain for a round of golf. Originally opened in 1968 as a nine-hole course, it was completely redesigned and expanded to 18 holes in 1999. The layout measures to 6,469 yards from the tips. It's not particularly long but there are some holes that are drivable. There are also plenty of opportunities to work on your short game. Strategically placed bunkers frame the fast greens and the gently rolling hills guarantee that you 'll come across some uneven lies, as well as some great views. The scenic view from sixth tee stretches across the Saline Valley. Don't get too distracted by the view on this hole though; this long par 5 demands your attention.

nice course
Well maintained course very friendly personnel and very playable course
first time will not be last time !!!!!!
thumbs up to this place, have drove past for years until I told my friend lets try them so I booked on my lg opimus g pro checked price and waa laa we were on the course the staff was great made us feel very welcome the greens were the best ive played this season, fairways were unbelievable, price beat the heck out all courses around me well worth the 40 minute drive.
Nice mix of challenging and "FUN" holes; #11 is awesome
The par 3's wont kill you if you're on; the par 5's a just plain and simple fun - provides many options and scoring if you hitting your drive well will come from the par 4's.
different
enjoyed the course, holes are pretty close together in places so stay aware of your surroundings.
Nice setting and a fine course, but...
Took my 75 year old parents here for a round. Played forward tees to accommodate. A good course for them but our round was not so much fun as we dodged errant shots into our fairways, without warning, and two middle-aged guys routinely had to drive it over and into us as they showed their female playing partners how manly they were by hitting into two very senior citizens. What should be a good family-friendly course isn't, largely due to the poor etiquette and rude behavior of the patrons of this course.
Greens and Fairways
Got the $11 deal here. I drove about 35 miles to get here, but would not drive that far for this course if I was paying full price. Scenery was descent and rough was close to being hard pan. The greens and fairways made this a very enjoyable day. Golfnow did overbook my time slot, but clubhouse staff did not skip a beat on getting me out there.
This course has some great hole lay outs.
Been playing this course for years and it is always in great shape.
Would definitely play again!
Loved this course. Fairly straight course. Not super challenging, yet fun! Maintained greens and fairways made it a joy to play here.
clean, very well taken care of
would golf again, and recommend to others had a great time
The course was a simple layout but a great play.
The course was a little out of the way but well worth the drive for the price and the quality of the course. The pace of play was outstanding. It's a must play when I return to the Detroit area.
Highly underrated
This course is kept in great shape and has a walker-friendly routing. Some surprisingly nice vistas as well. I play the course about 1-2 times a week and the pace of play (3hr / 18) is one of the primary reasons I keep returning.
Great value
Lovely grounds, well-maintained and located conveniently on US 12, this course has a good mix of long holes, blind t shots, right and left doglegs, water, trees and open fairways.
Nice course, will play again.
Good course for the money. Some tough some easy holes. We will play the course again, when the price is right.
Nothing Special
Its a fine course but nothing special. Its nice but the greens need to be better maintained. Its worth it if you are just looking for quick pickup round. The roughs are little hard. When it rains the course does not drain well. But overall its not a bad course to play. I go there quite often becasue it is close and the price is good on Golf Now
Good value. Friendly staff.
Good course for getting some swings in early in the year, or for the average golfer. There's enough going on to provide some challenge without beating you to death. Exceedingly friendly people in the pro shop & restaurant.
All in All not bad
Not a bad course, have played it several times for outings or because it is close. Great deals on tee times on GolfNow make it worth the money to play (8.00 bucks for 18/w cart) if even for practice rather than a trip to the range.
A few things about the course, tee boxes are HARD, very very hard. Evan after rain it was difficult to get a tee in them. Also a few holes are, in my opinion, poorly designed. Those holes have fairways that slope so drastically from right to left or left to right, that a well hit shot into the fairway is pushed into the rough. Sand in the bunkers could also use some help too as it is rather hard packed.
All in all its an okay course, that offers a few challenges, but not a ton. Worth playing if other good deals are not available, or if you have people looking to learn/improve on their game, but probably would not offer a lot to a very skilled player.
