Decent course, could use some extras
Stuff was a little cranky but all in all was ok. The course played slow and pro desk had guys going off back and front 9 so the back 9 play was super slow! The course could use some work as well. For the “hot deal” of the day it was ok.
It was a little bit slow we were just back up in front of our group just took a little longer than usual but not too bad
Couldn’t even finish 18
There were 2 groups of 4 in front of us that refused to let anyone pass and our tee time was at 4 and it was 6:30 and we were just getting done with 9 and didn’t want to be out there another 2 and a half hours so we left after 9. Really disappointed as it seemed overbooked
Nice in town Course
This course if fairly easy if you can hit the fairways - most of the time. The course was in good condition.. Greens a little slow but again in good condition - it helps to know where to land the ball on the green or in front of. The Blue tees are for the intermediate players, not the Whites which are for senior, seinors.
Beginner Course
Elmbrook is a great course for people just getting into the sport or looking for a very lax afternoon of golf. The course usually isn't too crowded and is quite short distance wise. Most fairways run parallel to one another as well meaning not alot of lost balls. The course condition is definitly lacking as there isn't alot of "true grass" on the course.
Would play again
Visiting in-laws in MI on vacation, so would only have the chance to play Elmbrook once a year but would come back. It is different from the courses I play in RI and MA because it is relatively hilly and many of the holes require narrow tee shots. It’s short so didn’t pull the driver once - three wood was sufficient on holes that needed a long club. Teed with long irons on the par fives and many of the par fours. It’s a change of pace from courses where one simply hits it as far as one can off the tee - a more strategic approach makes this course easier to score on. I was pleased with the condition for this time of the season. People seem to take the time to fix their ball marks, a nice show of respect for the course.
