Too Expensive
$60 was a lot of money for this course. Apart from most of the tee boxes and greens, the course looked like it needed some water. It overall didn’t feel like the type of prestige you would expect for the price. A lot of other places for similar prices in the area that I would rather play.
Not of fan of Arthur Hills courses
Too gimmicky, too many houses, humps and mounding everywhere nothing natural about the course. Elevated greens with huge drop offs
They don’t serve alcohol
They don’t serve alcohol for a can of soda they’re charging six dollars. I think it’s a little overpriced saying they didn’t have cart girls or anything like that yet. Had to get everything at the turn
Closed and still let me book
Had a teatime for 230 when I showed up at 1:30 there was a sign on the door that said course was closed from weather. The previous day did not get a phone call or an email stating that they were closed. No, I’m trying to figure out how to get a refund back through Golf Now
Won't be back
Horrible golf. Starter/ranger has NO IDEA what he's doing. When the group behind you is hitting at you in the fairway while you're waiting for the group ahead to get off the green, you have a problem. Bring your hard hat. Prepare for confrontation. Driving range was in prestine condition because its only open at specific times, so you can't warmup before you play. No food. No drinks. Crazy how courses run this way survive. I will not recommend this place to anybody and I won't ever be back.
Death of Father in Law
My husband was on hole 5 when I called him to tell him my father who has been living with us died. I was an emotional mess. I told him I have to call McLaren Hospice to come in to confirmed my father passed. My husband asked for a rain check or the ability to come back another day. The person working in the pro shop said no rain check or refunds, gave my husband his business card and said call back another time and he'll see if he can do anything. Very disappointing..I used the dad's promotion code on Golfnow, thankfully for that. It's sad to think the Glacier Golf Course valued my 90 year old father's death worth less than $50
Hard but fair.
Glacier is an excellent test of golf, and in great condition. Dollar value here is excellent for the golf. They don’t serve any alcohol nor have an actual restaurant anymore so keep that in mind, but if you’re looking for a challenging well kept golf course for a reasonable price this is it.
Course was in great shape
The course was in great shape. Fairways and greens were well maintained. Pace of play should have been a bit better for a 7:20 Saturday morning tee time, but the course is difficult and the wind picked up.
The course is a very difficult, aurthur hills design. There are not many easy holes, or shots that do not require your full attention. The course is a great test of golf
Nice course
Overall nice course. Pace was slow at times but still n good condition.
Points of caution....
Good course.
Two issues -
1. They have signs saying that they will not give a raincheck under any circumstances. So folks booking this course need to be careful.
2. They have lost their liquor license. So not beer on the course.
Challenging but fair
Course never disappoints on being challenging . Expected slower play for a mid morning weekend tee time. Spend the extra time on the practice greens. You will need it.
