About
Located in between Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Golf Club, founded in 1899, is one of the most historic clubs in the state of Michigan. The club was private for most of its history, but an ownership change in 2019 turned this venerable layout into one of the area’s best public experiences. The 18-hole course plays 6,512 yards from the championship tees, though there are four sets of tees The club is in the midst of a multi-year restoration and enhancement project, guided by architect Ray Hearn, that includes green enlargements, tree management, and in the installation of some new championship tees. Facilities here include a putting green, small driving range, chipping green, and a large clubhouse, grill and bar, patio and event space.

Conditions worsening continues.
Desk staff very friendly. Course conditions bad. Is there a competent greenskeeper working here? This used to be a nice place with excellent course conditions. Greenskeeper clearly needs to be changed out. Sad.
The greens are perfect.
Greens running at a 12 and very smooth. Country Club conditioned greens. One of the best public course in Michigan. Keep up the great work with all the course improvements.

Great spot!
Course condition was great. Went out as a solo at 9:00 AM on a Monday morning thinking it would be pretty wide open. Got there and it was backed up 3 groups deep with some slower folks in front. A couple nice guys invited me to tag along for the round. Such a fun course however. It is a course that is somewhat forgiving off the tee, but hitting greens is very important and you’ll be punished otherwise.
The one staff member was a younger guy and he was not very polite and was a little snappy in his responses to my questions as it was my first time there. Wasn’t super pleased with him. The course however was great and will play again!

Love This Course
If I had more time to play golf during the week this would be my first choice. Love this course and the staff. Lots of history here and they are working towards future enhancements to make things even better.

Beautiful Course
This is probably my favorite course that I've played on this far. Beautifully lined fairways with large, very old oak trees, gives it a rustic feel. Water hazards are well kept, greens are excellent and challenging.

good course
Always a pleasure to play at Washtenaw GC but today Sunday Sep 19th it was extremely slow, we had a 157pm Teetime, started a little earlier but not done until after 5hr 15min, so very slow! Otherwise a great day!

Hidden Gem
Challenging course. Penalizes you harshly if you don't hit greens, as they are mostly small and very fast. Course was in excellent shape. One of my favorite places to play in the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area. Try to play there at least a few every season. Like the updates that the new owners are doing to the course
