About
Located in between Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Golf Club, founded in 1899, is one of the most historic clubs in the state of Michigan. The club was private for most of its history, but an ownership change in 2019 turned this venerable layout into one of the area’s best public experiences. The 18-hole course plays 6,512 yards from the championship tees, though there are four sets of tees The club is in the midst of a multi-year restoration and enhancement project, guided by architect Ray Hearn, that includes green enlargements, tree management, and in the installation of some new championship tees. Facilities here include a putting green, small driving range, chipping green, and a large clubhouse, grill and bar, patio and event space.

Beautiful course
Course was awesome just like a donald ross course is, tight fairways, pretty much open, sloping greens, definitely will be back!

Enjoyable Course Needs a Ranger
One belligerent foursome of one elderly guy with 3 ladies really slowed up the pace of play. They were ignoring golf etiquette and not waving through faster groups behind them. Three groups skipped a hole on the back 9 to bypass them. A ranger would have helped
Otherwise it was a really good course layout with enough challenges for most levels of play
We're sorry to hear your round of golf was interrupted due to the other group. We understand that the pace of play is key to everyone's experience, and we will work to do better. Zach was inviting and it was a great experience
Zack Szawara was a pleasure to speak with when coming in for the first time. I have been a member at Country Clubs in the past and have played at many different private and public courses and I felt like a member talking with Zach. The course was fun and challenging. Hole #8 was a challenge, like I was warned, and walking away with a bogie was actually rewarding. Will definitely return to play here even though I am an hour away. Thank you for making me feel at home.

Love this course. Greens are tricky and sometimes blazing fast. Today normal speed. Tough pin placements 2steps from the edges. Great course will let you know how good your game is.

Where are the rangers
The good news Covid has increased the interest in golf the bad news the pace of play has suffered. The lack of understanding of that aspect influence the enjoyment of others. If you’re charging $60 a round you would think that you could have a ranger to police that.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course.
