Washtenaw Golf Club
About
Located in between Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Golf Club, founded in 1899, is one of the most historic clubs in the state of Michigan. The club was private for most of its history, but an ownership change in 2019 turned this venerable layout into one of the area’s best public experiences. The 18-hole course plays 6,512 yards from the championship tees, though there are four sets of tees The club is in the midst of a multi-year restoration and enhancement project, guided by architect Ray Hearn, that includes green enlargements, tree management, and in the installation of some new championship tees. Facilities here include a putting green, small driving range, chipping green, and a large clubhouse, grill and bar, patio and event space.

Not a $55 track
For $55 it was a major disappointment. The pace of play was awful 5+ hours waiting on every box and every fairway. The greens were rotten some cave man was dragging thier feet scuffing them up in front of us all round making it impossible to hole a putt. I don't normally write reviews but this experience was so bad I had to share it. Won't be going back.
Nice old school course
If you like old school country club courses..you will like this one.Not long by today's designs by any stretch. What this one has is narrow tree lined fairways with small fast running greens. If you can hit a fairly straight ball..this is your course. For a course that dates back into the late 1800s it is a throw back to golf of another era.Sand traps are ok and do need some help.According to a local member we chatted with..that trap work is on the list...just a matter of $$$ when it moves forward.Staff at check in we welcoming and they seem to appreciate returning patrons.Love this course and the fast true rolling greens are a magnet to bring me back
Excellent course to challenge your game
4 hour pace of play, greens were fast, but rolled true. Fun course to play.
Spring golf
Always a nice course to play, it's still growing in from winter conditions, but it will be in top condition soon. Greens were as always very fast.
Excellent Design
The course is an excellent design and challenge. The clubhouse manager Is not the best with customer relations.
wet and wild round
It was raining, I did a hot deal, so no refunds. I hate walking the course due to foot pain, but had to tough it out. I just zig zagged around the front nine and then I was done. On nice days, I enjoy playing here. I have to check the weather next time🤧
