About
Located in between Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Golf Club, founded in 1899, is one of the most historic clubs in the state of Michigan. The club was private for most of its history, but an ownership change in 2019 turned this venerable layout into one of the area’s best public experiences. The 18-hole course plays 6,512 yards from the championship tees, though there are four sets of tees The club is in the midst of a multi-year restoration and enhancement project, guided by architect Ray Hearn, that includes green enlargements, tree management, and in the installation of some new championship tees. Facilities here include a putting green, small driving range, chipping green, and a large clubhouse, grill and bar, patio and event space.

Enjoying Fall Golf
Other than pace of play after the 11th hole the course was amazing and fun. After the 11th hole, the pace of play was horrible and not ideal for rhythmic golfers. I’m not sure if they were beginners or just people out for a Sunday morning round but 5 hours plus is hard to justify even on a Sunday in late October. This issue isn’t with the course or staff, it’s mainly with golfers who don’t understand pace of play and courtesy of other golfers around you

Greens were running at 12.8 on October 23rd. Course couldn’t be in better shape. Get out there while you can.

Challenging course
Beautiful course that lets you ease into your game then increases the challenges as you proceed. Well maintained and nice pub to finish off the round.

Hidden Gem
Challenging course. Penalizes you harshly if you don't hit greens, as they are mostly small and very fast. Biggest tip I can give you is keep your ball below the hole. Course was in excellent shape. One of my favorite places to play in the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area. Try to play there at least a few every season. Like the updates that the new owners are doing to the course

Pretty good….but
I like this course. But man the greens were chewed up pretty badly today. I don’t recall them
Being so poor last time I played. I had a few putts hit a bump and completely change direction. Pace of play was great on front but back slowed significantly. Fairways are good. Overall I like the course.

Great old school course
Fun course, staff was friendly. Course in very good shape overall. Greens were a little marked up due to a large outing that day. Will be back.
