The course is one of my all time favorites.

I like a course that rewards risk, has good greens and if I am not playing my best doesn't allow me to score well.

This is a very pretty course with good clubhouse food.

The one complaint people I take here have is the greens are mounded and tight. If you are having a bad short game day it can add 10 strokes.

Overall one of my favorites in the cities.

This is a challenging course so bring a couple of extra sleeves. And leave the driver in the bag as the risk isn't worth the reward. The only thing lacking is pace of play and beverage cart. Both are slow, but with the views and focus on the course, those are minor issues. Have fun!

Course is tough with many blind shots; this first timer had to search for a few tee boxes. That minor drawback is far outweighed by all other characteristics, most importantly the scenery - several holes with views of the Mississippi River, lots of hills, several holes within view of railroad track (on which a train passed at high speed while playing), flock of wild turkeys on hole 6, no houses on course, etc. A great experience.

This place was a great find. I got out on my own for the first round of the day and it was soooooo peaceful. I met Doc the owner and he couldn't have been nicer. I even played 9 more holes and had a beer. Great place and will go back for sure. Course is run by golfers for golfers!

Not a fan. Rates online said $60 for 18 but at check in it was $70 plus a $10 cart key deposit. Who does that?

No drinking water on the course. Lots of blind shots. Terrible hole to hole signage. Some very nice holes on the front nine and some cow pasture holes on back 9. No gps in the carts and very few yardage markers on the course.

Not worth $80. Wont be back.

Beautiful environment, challenging course

Love this course. Pace of play is great no waiting. Definitely at the top of our list.

Food is really good in the bar.

Booked a hot deal with GolfNow and what a steal. The course is in the top 2 or 3 public tracks I've played and I have played most of them.

The course itself is immaculate. wide fairways but you need to pay attention on the tips that the course gives you. Greens were great. I played early so they might have been a little slow but in great condition.

At the end of the round I had the pleasure to meet the owner, who I witnessed with a shovel in his hand doing work on my way to the first tee, and after speaking to him knew why the place is so good. It is his baby.

If you are in the Twin City area make it your business to play this track.

New to the area and find Mississippi Dunes to be a very challenging course. Played it twice in the last few weeks. The greens are excellent and very challenging. Sometimes find it challenging to know where to hit the ball as there are a lot of blind shots. It was better the second time around and appreciate the challenge. The staff is excellent and helpful.

I golfed this course 6 yrs ago and, being a relatively new golfer, I was not enjoying the round and figured I'd never come back. 8 years after I began golfing I found myself at the dunes once again and I am simply amazed with the course. Usually never a wait, greens are true, quick, and difficult. Definitely need to utilize course mgmt skills and shot shaping abilities. Make sure you play plenty of break on the undulating greens and you are in for a well kept treat hidden along the banks of the Mississippi, painted with rolling hills and cool valleys. I guarantee you will be back if you're serious about playing golf on a well kept, yet wild in beauty, golfers golf course! Stop in for a top notch meal and a IPA or perfect cocktail! Great venue for a magnificent wedding! I beheld 2 golden eagles and 2 bald eagles up close last weekend as the orange moon was on the rise! Breathtaking view!

The first hole really sets the tone for the types of shots you'll need to play. Danger left and right with a hilly fairway that you can shoot through pretty easily. If you are too far left their is a tree line and a tree blocking the green. If you are too far right, the river comes into play, but your approach to the green is in tact. Elevated greens are plentiful. If you can manage your tee shots to be accurate, but shorter than a full driver you can score well. If you don't, bring some extra balls.

I've always wanted to try this course and with the hot deal I was willing to try it. The course is under construction which is very confusing as far as the layout of the holes. It was very poorly marked on where to go. None of my group is willing to ever come back for the price they charge at this course. I would expect a lot better conditions to consider going back.

Silly golf

The course layout has unbelievable greens that cannot be held with undulations that are silly.

The environment is beautiful on this course. The course has it challenges. We play many courses in the area but I love the serenity of the environment and the challenges on the course. Definitely a must play course when you are in this area. There are no red tees for ladies , but the gold works for me.

Course is typically in pretty good shape and today was no exception. Some course knowledge is helpful due to some partially blind tee shots as well as the contours of the greens. Early morning tee time, however, pace of play was near 4 1/2 hrs. A ranger who keeps groups on pace is recommended. Greens rolled true.

Way too expensive for quality, it was around $90 for 18. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and hardly anyone on the course(probably bcuz it's too expensive) Short par 5's, pretty straight course. Pretty cool layout, blind shots. Good greens. Course a little tough to navigate as the cards aren't updated with the new layout. Watch out! They don't keep good track of tabs, added extra drinks to ours that we didn't have. Some staff super friendly but the Owner (Doc) doesn't care about anyone but himself, he will talk about himself and how awesome he his all day long if you'll listen to him. There's got to be better courses out there for the price and better customer service. Sorry, but would not recommend.

Good layout but if you have not played it you better have that yardage book. Even then, you will probably hit a few shots you think are perfect and end up in a transition bunker or something else you were not planning on. Great greens (tough to read) that roll very true. Bring your "A game" !!!

First time here and it was a lot of fun. The staff were great. The course was in great shape. Had a bunch of blind shots that if you don't know where you are going it could be trouble. But that's half the fun. We will be going back for sure. The only gripe we had was trouble finding the yard markers or sprinkler heads. A few more sings letting you know where to go would of helped out.

I enjoyed the course. I may have played here years ago,but don't remember anything. So, it was like playing it for the first time. It

s challenging, long and well groomed. The tee boxes and fairways were all in good shapes. The greens were in very good condition, challenging and fast.

My only complaint. Not a drop of water or anything to drink, anywhere but in the clubhouse. Saw multiple watering stations on the course. NONE OF THEM HAD WATER. IT WAS 80+ DEGREES, SUNNY AND A MILD BREEZE. IT WAS EASY TO BUILD UP A THIRST. BUT IF YOU DID, NOTHING TO SATISFY IT ANYWHERE.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! ARE YOU TOO CHEAP TO PUT OUT DRINKING WATER FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS? ARE YOU TOO THOUGHTLESS TO SEND OUT A BEVERAGE CART. C'MON PEOPLE IT'S 80 AND HOT OUTSIDE.

Great views, good condition, and excellent food afterwards. The routing of the course leads to tons of blind shots though, and the routing of the course with all the par 3's and 5's leads to a long round with a lot of confusing tee shots.

Would certainly be easier the second time around, and I look forward to playing it again.

Course is in great shape, although the round took over 5 hours and we had an 8:30am teetime. They need to get rangers out there to push pace of play. Also the $10 cart key deposit is very tacky (who is going to take a useless cart key, let alone take it out of the ignition). Sounds like a way to get an extra $20 off of forgetful foursomes...
