Evem the forward tees are a challenge distance wise for an old guy like me. It is a very nice course in pretty good shape.

One of the nicest courses in the area. Long course, a little too long for my wife. Nice amenities. A tad expensive without the GolfNow deals.

Course is long for a guy my age, even from the forward tees. I would think that it would be a huge challenge for most women because of the distance. Very nice course in very good condition.

This was my first time playing this course, and I was excited to try it as the layout and elevation changes looked cool. Booked a hot deal on GolfNow for $30 at 6:20 with it being the longest days of the year and sunset just after 9:00 figured I would get at least 11 or 12 holes in. Got there and they had an outing earlier in the day and then some sort of mens league followed so no chance for me to get out early even as a single, which I didn’t have a problem with. What was an issue was that everyone in the men’s league played exceptionally slowly. I was the last tee this me of the day and ended up teeing off a little early at 6:12 behind a group of 4 young men that were not part of the men’s league and who were all over the course but it didn’t matter because there was nowhere to go. I ended up bailing out at the 6th tee since we had played 5 holes and it was already 8:15. Bummer given I had read that the back 9 is even a better layout than the front. I realize they had a really busy day with the outing but they still need a ranger out there making sure people are keeping pace. I did not get any value out of this booking and should have booked elsewhere.

I played from the front tees and it is still a challenge. Length is an issue on the course. Front tees are around 5,500 yards and next tee back is around 6,000 yards. Too long for my game.

Hasting Golf Club provides a fair challenge on beautiful course. We had a group of moderate to very good players and we all had a fair chance playing from the White tees. If you hit a bad shot, you still have a good chance to find your ball. Then you have fair options for punching out or advancing the ball.

A great day of golf.

Good variety of holes, some real brutes out there but also some more manageable ones as well.

Hastings is a good local course that is built on some interesting land and has a friendly staff.

PACE: Was the first one out and moved well. Encountered a few workers on the course and they were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you.

CONDITIONS: It's early in the season, so I hope the bare spots are from winter and fill in during the season. There were some spots on the greens that I hope heal up in the months to come as well. Not all bunkers had sand in them. Hole #14 (a signature hole with a beautifully framed second shot into the green) had just dirt in the front left greenside bunker.

VALUE: If I understand correctly, Hastings has a membership but remains open to public play. This may explain the greens fee, which I thought was ($20) higher than I thought would be considered fair for this course.

LAYOUT: Great use of the rolling terrain, especially on the back 9. The stretch from hole #12 thru hole #16 uses the ground and topography to make a variety of interesting challenges.

This course will be amazing in another three weeks or so. Right now it has some winter scars, but to be expected this time of year. The cups on the green were actually ice cold and sweating, had never experienced that before. Given the time of year and everything, it was a good round.

Tucked away in a Hastings neighborhood you will find a really nice course. Long, challenging, with fast greens and always in great shape. Can be slow on the weekends. The facilities are great. The staff is friendly.

I played this course for the first time ever 2 weeks ago and I have played it twice more since. The first points that this place scored were in the clubhouse. The young man running the desk has a gift for customer service that shouldn’t go unmentioned. I can’t recall his name but he puts in a noticeable effort to be kind, respectful, and accommodating. I think the best way to describe the golf course is well kept and challenging, but fair. I don’t think I have played a single course in the entire Twin Cities area that can compete with the quality and layout of Hastings Golf Club in the same price range.
