Unique and Challenging Track
ERCC is always a challenge. Typically windy, many shorter approach shots that are very tough despite close yardage due to the turtle-back greens. No green is very large, which makes you really focus on the short game. Very fun course, always a good time, good challenge and pretty good value.
Over rated course for the money
My experience with Golf now was outstanding. Elk River CC is over rated for their standard green fee rates. Thankfully I went on a "hot deal" rate. It's definitely a buck a hole course. No more.
Some tee boxes were rough and very unlevel, the 1st 150 yds. of alot of fairways were like a farmer's plowed field with grass growing on them. Remainder of the fairways were in fair condition. Bunkers looked like trash, sloppy deep sand with dirt and grass clippings, no one seemed to care about raking in their last shot. The greens; they were all in surprisingly good putting condition, butt they are the smallest greens I've ever seen. You have zero forgiveness on your approach shots. If you can't stop it on a dime from 150 it could be a frustrating day. The last par 3 is the dumbest hole to navigate I've ever seen, no cart path up to the hole, no signs directing you to the next hole, you have to backtrack down the fairway cut diagonally across it to get to the next tee box. Which happens to be right beside the par 3 tee box. The group behind us was ready to shoot, but had to wait as we drove across the fairway. Overall opinion, spend a couple dollars more, and you can play a half dozen courses in the NW metro that are much better and more enjoyable. I recommend Monticello CC or Cedar Creek in Albertville.
Relaxing and scenic
Very nice course, feels peaceful and relaxing. Challenges your abilities to play the correct distance when teeing off.
Perfect day - perfect course!
You couldn't ask for a better fall day or a more perfect course to play on.
Worth the trip
Used GolfNow to get a sweet deal. Course was nicely groomed. Lots of water on the right and left side of the fairways so lost a few balls. Also, tough getting up and over a couple trees that sat right in the middle of the fairway. Most greens fairly turttlebacked, but I made due.
Best value for the money!!!!!!
Well groomed course with relatively fast greens. Greens were smooth and in extremely nice condition.
Fun to play
Very fair and friendly course to play. Each hole is tree lined and framed nicely. Greens are very small and challenging and in beautiful condition. It's a treat to play for all skill levels.
nice playable fun track
went as a single and pace of play as good. big open fairways and really good condition.
Challenging greens
Over all the coarse was very nice, the greens were really running with tough pins.
Fairways
The fairways are not good and the layout is weird the greens rolled pretty good if you like small elevated greens this is the course for you
Fun and Enjoyable Course
Elk River is one of my personal favorites in the NW metro. Fun course that tests all aspects of your game.
The course is struggling in certain areas with all the rain we've had this season - so beware of that. This was especially noticeable on the front side.
Excellent Facility-Course reflects weather conditions.
Elk River as an excellent banquet and overall structural facility. The golf course has an interesting layout with some challenging holes. The only negative is that a number of fairways are quite spongy, especially with the recent weather conditions. With that in mind of course is still an excellent value with competitive pricing.
it is a great course
The golf course is in nice shape it plays very well to my game I like when deer are out feeding its just really cool that way its close to home right up the freeway into the country its really quite and yes I would tell other people about this course we really have a great time when we play there.
Fun course
This course has small elevated greens so pitching and chipping is crucial.
hilly and up and down course..
this course is just up and down small hill every where...all the green are just sitting next to each other.. hitting 9th hole and ball flies to 18th hole fairway.. it is just an average golf course built on a hilly area.. some fairway are so bumpy i lost my head cover of 3 woods. i m not gonna play there again..
tight fairways. approach shots critical to score well.greens small but in good condition.
excellent course for the money.not overly challenging but tee shots important to have any chance at second shot. was fun will definatley play again.
great "hot deal" experience
course was in excellent condition, both fairways and greens. greens were small and FAST, making for plenty of challenges on approaches.
Very nice golf course.
Elk River golf course is a very nice, mature course, and very well maintained. This golf course is the perfect place to play for all skill levels. Highly recommended. A+++
