Great value when you can find "Hot Rates"
The course is in very nice condition, but much of it is so bumpy that you get beat up in the cart between shots.
Very friendly staff.
Course is forgiving on mishits because it is fairly open, quite a few long doglegs. Will definitely go back to play again.
Nice course
Only thing I didn't like was no drinking water available except for the beverage cart. Hot humid day with no water jugs? come on man!
Small greens in good shape
The course was in great shape. I would say it has the smallest greens of any course I've ever played. Makes every approach shot a challenge.
Great staff
We booked this course to have a great Father's day playing golf. We were paired with another 2 some and when we requested to go out by ourselves the staff accommodated us perfectly.
Always a fun course to play
some patchiness on many of the fairways due to winterkill, but the course is in pretty decent shape.
Small elevated greens are a challenge.
Played the whites so par 4s were basically a long iron lay-up off the box with a wedge second shot. Greens are small and hard to hit though making it difficult for someone slightly challenged with chip shots. Greens well groomed.
Relaxing, Enjoyable.
My wife and I rode 18 holes on a windy, cool, afternoon. The course was maintained very nicely. The thing we enjoyed the most was that it wasn't too hard. As recreational golfers we don't want water and bunkers abounding. We are not PGA players and do not want to suffer and survive our round. Very nice course for the weekend golfer. We'll be back :)
Very nice. Not spectacular.
Elk River is a nice little course. The fairways are ridiculously wide and the greens are flat and small. Hitting them is a tough task, but up and downs are to be had. It is in good shape for being early after a long winter. Staff was very kind. I am a 15+ handicapper and I didn't lose a ball. Don't know if that isgood or bad. (for the course...it's obviously good for me.)
Not your typical up and down course
This course has very unique holes. Just enough water, trees, doglegs. Few bunkers. Slightly hilly but still OK to walk.
Early Season
Golfed on a beautiful Friday afternoon in May and the course was just turning green. A bit bumpy in the fairways but the elevated greens the size of a postage stamp were challenging Golfed in 3 hours and fifteen minutes. Great spring time golf day!!
I always enjoy coming back to Elk River.
I always enjoy coming back to Elk River. It has plenty of variety, some challenging holes, and it gives me a fair assessment of my golf game on that particular day.
This course has very small and tight fast green.
Best course for your all around game. Hard but fun and challenging for the low handicap...
Outstanding course.
OUtstanding course to play. Enough of a challenge to keep you coming back and not to easy for you to lose interest in the course.
