Golf at the Legacy

Course was in great condition. The greens were quick and pin placements were challenging all day. The course showed a more difficult side today than I had ever seen before.

The course is in great shape. The rough is not overly long but the grass is thick and lush. Shots from the rough do not fly as far as expected. The greens are immaculate. They have plenty of slope to them and several are very difficult to read correctly. The group in front of us was playing exceptionally slow. The ranger came by on the 5th hole and asked them to speed up. It helped a little but still played slower than what I like. Over all an enjoyable round of golf.

Easy booking and was allowed on well before scheduled tee time. Staff was courteous with the starter being helpful about where the first couple of holes were.

The course was in good condition with the only con being the bunkers. The sand was hard and wet (it had rained the night before) and filled with ordinary bunker sand. Fairways and greens were nice with some of the greens being challenging. Most of the holes were well laid out with only one being "tricky", a severe dogleg left.

The club house was nice if not smallish. Stopped for a hot dog at the turn and wished I hadn't. It took several minutes for the hot dog and it turned out to be worse than one from a gas station. To be fair the cook had several burgers and other things cooking but it would have been nice to have been told it would be a few minutes before paying. Luckily my group was not being pressed.

The Legacy is a great value for any golfer of almost all skill levels. It has some of the toughest greens that I have played this year, and always makes for an interesting first couple holes if your'e not ready. Overall I love going down there as much as I can, just wish it was about 15 minutes closer!

Totally impressed by course condition as heavy rains has not deterred the quality of course. Greens are undulating and sneaky.

I enjoyed the coure, and it was in excellent shape. There were however many small things that ttok away from a potentially very enjoyable round. It started with having to sign out a specific cart with name and phone number. Then, said cart didnt have a score card, and the box on the #2tee was out. Tee markers were pulled on about 5 holes w/o a mower in sight, and theball washer liquid smelled so bad I was afraid to use them. All of that I could have forgotten, but was really upset at the guy that decided to start mowing the fringe on a green as I was trying to chip onto it like we weren't there. Frustratingly slow play behind a 4some (we were two) topped it off. Like the course itself, was turned off by everything else.

The Legacy is challenged by the wet spring conditions that all of the courses are experiencing, but thery are doing their best to accommodate play all things considered. This is a very good layout with the "best greens" I have played on this year in Minnesota. Once this course has an opportunity to dry out I will be playing it again !!!

While playing this course we were behind 3 older gentlemen walking the course at the 2nd hole they were walking up the green so we teed off. When we got to next hole they were waiting for us and starting yelling and threatening us. Three holes later they were complaining again about us to the Ranger who then asked us if we had a problem with them. On the eighth hole (a par 5) they were walking off the green when we took our 2nd shots again they complained to the Ranger we almost hit them and we got scolded again. I will never ever play this course again and will highly recommend adults 50 and younger to avoid this course. The patrons there are rude and the staff is very unfriendly. One bright spot the whole day was the beer cart lady who was very nice.

The greens are fantastic, best I have played in a long time, fast, smooth and slope. Tee boxes and fairways were above average but due to the rain ruff was ruff, longer with clumps of grass from finally cutting.

There are some fun holes, and some pretty basic ones. Fairly good conditions with the respect that it was a dry summer.
