Recovering well from last year's rain.
It's recovering nicely from last year's rain. Greens were a bit rough but it's early. It was worth the Hot Deal price.
One of Minnesota's many hidden Gems. Beautiful layout, Trees, water and plenty of nature. Still had a little water damage from last years flood but other than that it was in excellent shape.
Needs Attention
I really like the layout of this course and straightforward hole design, however the course does have issues that need attention. Many of the bunkers are filled with dirt, they need signage between holes, it can be confusing, and a couple of the small domed greens should be rebuilt. I realize it's hard for a small town course like this to keep up with everything. Overall I like courses like this and would hate to see them close due to competition with better funded courses.
March in Minnesota Golf
Terrific day at Glencoe, even though the weather was cold and windy, the course came through the winter in great condition, the grees were in good shape and the course played quickly, under 3 1/2 hours.
Colin and his staff have done a wonderful job. I feel like a member even though I am not.
Tough course with terrific greens
Tough course from Blues with greens as good as any around...Pace of play excellent...Well worth the drive!
Father's Day
The staff was super, pace of play excellent and so was the value. Course was in very good shape except for a couple holes that had a little bit of flooding, around the green on 14 and the tee box on 15. we had a little bit of difficulty finding our golf balls if they weren't in the fairway which was strange because the rough was not that bad just hard to see the ball. I will definitely play here again even though it's 40 miles away.
Good Course, CHEAP PRICE
This course is great. Fairway and greens are well maintained.
Monday and Wendsday is $20 with cart and Tuesday, Thursday and Friday $25 with cart. It's stealing price. It's worth to drive 30 minutes. If you have time, you should try this course. You'll like it.
Excellent course
Great location, peaceful country side.Large greens but approach can be unforgiving. Occasionally they might overbook but the issue was more with the group in front not having common courtesy. Highly recommended.
Glencoe CC
Great Value, greens in great shape for April!
Amazing course
Just stumbled upon this course on golf now. Love this course. My boyfriend and I drive from big lake (1hr 20) to golf here. Highly recommended to those that enjoy a nice course. We golf numerous courses and find ourselves back here often.

Any Golf in March is a Bonus!!!!
Wow!! Course was in great shape for Just opening the day before. Greens were cut and in great shape for March. Check it out. You wont be disappointed!!!
Good rates but small dome-shaped greens not my favorite
Played this course Oct of last year.
Pretty average layout. Nothing gimmicky but nothing especially memorable either. The cemetery in the middle of the course was a bit strange and confusing for a first-timer (follow the map on the scorecard or you might get lost).
Tree-lined fairways, some sand traps and water but not a ton. Only about 20 bunkers but they were too hard and gravel-like for my tastes.
Also too many small and dome-shaped greens for my tastes. Plus they were hard, making them especially difficult to hit, requiring lots of short chip shots near greens.
Other than hard bunkers and greens, though, conditions were good.
Definitely on the short and easy side, even from the Blues, so probably better for casual golfers and beginners than more advanced/serious golfers.
Will probably not be back - too many courses I'd prefer closer to the Twin Cities - but great rates, very affordable, especially Mon & Wed.
Worth the Drive
After reading several positive reviews about this course, my wife and I decided to give it a shot.
We were pleased to find the course in very good condition - the greens were beautiful - and the pace of play was excellent, despite folks occasionally ball hunting due to the fallen leaves (not much you can do about that) . Next year we'll make a point of getting out there earlier in the season.
The course is fairly flat and, for the most part, lies right out in front of you. There are a few tight fairways and a couple of fairly sharp doglegs, but nothing gimmicky. Considering that the two nines were built decades apart, they seem to fit together well.
Overall, a fun place to play and definitely worth the drive - especially if they can manage to keep the rates as low as they are (although we'll be back even if they go up!)
great course
Great place to golf now, for fall golf course is in excellent shape
bouncy bouncy
Excellent Golf Course!!! 100% focus required. Fairways and Rough in excellent condition. Rough penalizes you. Greens and 20-30 yards around was hard. Hit many greens with a wedge and the ball did not stay on, it bounced off. Putting was excellent and true.
nice clean course
Nice clean course in good condition. Good facilities
Pleasant surprise
I cannot tell you what a pleasant golf experience this was. We made the 50 mile drive just because we wanted a course we have never played. We expected a rough track cut through a cornfield. Boy we where dead wrong. Interesting layout, fast greens, well maintained, and the absolutely friendliness golf staff imaginable. Complete opposite of our experience in Le Seurer.
Great Value
The price is right for this course. The conditions were very good from tee to green. I will be back.
Fun Golf Course
A somewhat challenging layout, especially the par fives where you really need to know where to position your ball into the green. A good value for the dollar !!
