The course is well kept
The fairways and greens are in very good condition. The greens offer good bite and roll true.
Good track
Good track, good price
Greens a little rough but overall an enjoyable course.
Great for beginners, not a challenging course with layout and distances.
Bit more of a drive than I'm normally comfortable with, the savings on the course are given back in gas used to get there (suv driver).
Worth the drive out to experience it.
fun, fast and not too crouwded
glenco is in sw metro and worth the extra drive time because they offer good rates and a fun golf test on a very well maintained.
Recovery after the spring floods
The course was in pretty good shape, but didi not like that the pin placement on every hole was 10 ft from the side of the green edge. Made for many long putts and short chips. Not a friendly afternoon round.
I showed the course my golf now tee time and they could have beat the price had I called the pro shop. Not a good deal even on booking the same day.
Very nice!
Beautiful Sat.afternoon with hardly anybody on the course so were able to play at our own pace. Holes on the back nine have come back very nicely from early season flooding. Only complaint is that there were quite a few leaves on the course. Could have used a good vacuuming\blowing. Was not windy so it wasn't like they had just blown off the tree. Overall a good day!
A little gem
Went to Glencoe for the first time on a cool mostly cloudy fall day and loved it. Only 5 cars in the lot a any one time so very wide open all afternoon. Not a long course with an even number of par 3, 4 and 5 holes. Good use of traps and varied types of greens that roll fast and true. NIce fairway grass. Last hole is a short par 4 that many could reach from tee but must navigate the narrow gap in front between two bunkers. Lots of mature trees and water adds to the pretty place. Will go back with couples because the ladies will love it.
course review
The front nine for the course played very well and very pleased. the back nine has been hit very hard from flood waters and difficult to play. holes not effected by the flood waters were good. greens were very fast and a little burnt out
nice course
the course was in good shape with respect to the recent Noah-like rains in the area. looking forward to paying again,
Friendly Staff, Interesting layout
Quick greens. Variety of hole types. River flooding damaged 13 fairway that is being reseeded. We played as Par3. Water in play but not over whelming. A lot of vineyards in area for post round tasting.
Good course except for back 9
Most of the course was very well maintained. But, due to the heavy rain/flooding this year, some of the holes on the back-9 were under repair. Otherwise, very good course. Had to leave at the 15th hole due to thunder in the vicinity.
Excellent value
Glencoe CC is a challenging course w/well managed greens and holes w/various layouts. I always enjoy playing there, & for the price, it can't be beat.
not supervise enough to check the pace of play.
Players ahead of us took they're time drinking, talking and playing around. No group ahead of them and they stood talking and drinking. They were not there to play they were there to hsngout and make other players miserable waiting. This golf course don't have any ranger or staff to check the pace of play. Not a good place to golf at all. I will never play again to this course unless for free coz this course is a course for wasting time.
great course for the price
great prices and friendly staff. greens were in great shape for early season.
Well Maintained golf course, excellent layout
The Glencoe Country Club is a well-maintained, interesting course from the 1920/30 era . It offers an interesting challenge and is well inworth the trip from the Twin Cities. The course is well-maintained and features a friendly staff with the small town ambience welcoming guest golfers.
Looked great considering lack of rain
Course looked great even though there hasn't been any rain lately. Only have one hole with damage from recent flooding. Pace was great!
Great mature course
Not long, but that doesn't make it any easier. Fun holes that you need to make accurate shots on. A very nicely constructed course for all skill levels.
Course is a great value
Greens were perfect and fast PGA smooth. This is a great course to golf and save money, we only paid 20$ to golf with cart.
Small Greens Make this a Challenging Course.
The Small Greens make you bring your Chipping Game along,
Good variety of dog legs make you hit the ball straight '''''\,,
I kind of like the fact that nobody plays out there, Makes it easy to get on.
