Glencoe Country Club

Golfed Glencoe for first time this year. Greens were in Excellent Condition. Course was in Very good shape considering lack of rain this year. Added sand to bunkers which has been neglected in the past. Graciously greeted when checking in. Try it. You'll like it!!

Fairways were dry, which helped me gain distance. Greens were in good shape. I played the gold tees that gave me a chance to reach several of the greens in regulation. I'll play it again.

Early tee time played solo fairway and greens were fine none mowed yet though rough was 4-5 inches so finding Erent balls was impossible finding next hole was difficult very poor signage. Would not recommend even at low fee.

Decided to play this course after seeing a hot deal on golf now. 25 bucks got me 18 holes and a cart. You really can’t complain with that deal!

The course plays at 6400 yards but that is a bit misleading as there are at least 5 par 3s… so it feels longer when you play it. . The greens are relatively small and were rolling surprisingly well for a mid May round.

Trees are plentiful on many holes and require the smart golfer to think about club selection on the tee box. I didn’t think, and paid the price on a few holes. The course is tucked up next to the river and though there was no flooding on the course, it was pretty soft and the rough was long. I’m sure they were waiting for the ground to dry up before mowing. Fairways were nice but some of the tee boxes could use some work.

The round took 4.5 hours and I really think it should be under 4 hours on a small course. If you get a deal, you’ll get your value from this course. Staff was friendly and helpful which is always nice.

That’s ok ! DR is minimal and balls were dirty! Course is in good condition and fair. Good value and friendly staff. Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere!

This course is very family friendly. We took 4 of our grandkids out with 3 adults. They had special rates for the kids..

Good walking course with mature trees and some narrow fairways, and I might add, good greens.

We will definitely be back.
