Good Value
I've played this course probably 20 times over the last three years and I always go back because of the value. It's relatively cheap and there are always good deals to be had.
The course itself is in OK shape. Some of the greens are in rough shape because it seems like very few people replace a divot and some of the bunkers have weeds growing out of them. If this is your first time, take the course guide from the pro shop. There are lots of blind shots and it can be difficult trying to figure out where to aim.
Again, all in all it's a value based course. You'll see people in jeans and a tee shirt, you'll hear loud talking, you'll see people hit 4 shots off the tee. If you can handle that every once in a while this is a good enough course for the value.
Poorly ran Golf Course
Pace of play was super slow, it took 2 hours and 35 minutes to play 9. There were many at least 3 groups of 5 and even a 6 some on the course. After I went on on the turn and complained about the pace of play the club attendant and pro said it's normal to have a 5 hour round and said you should expect that on a weekend. I totally disagree I play during busy times of day and haven't had a round go longer then 4 hours and 20 minutes. I play at least 30 rounds a year at many courses and pace of play should be right around 4 hours.
Blind shots
Most of the holes, for a first timer is a blind shot. Course book did recommend correctly where to aim and they do have 150 yard barber polls. Trust them and hit it straight.

Heritage Links
The greens were in rough shape, lots of ball marks etc.

Nothing but blind shots
The course was in very good condition and the staff was friendly. With that being said the entire round you have no idea what you are shooting at. Nothing but blind shots. Very frustrating way to golf.
Golf was slow
The course was slow due to holiday . 5hr round but a very nice day.
Golf guy
Fire your greens keeper. Greens are the most beat up I have seen this year. Many blind shots. Hidden water.
Needs navigation instructions.
Great Course
Great links-style course that is a great value. Little bit of a drive from the cities, but worth it.
A lot of blind shots
Firstly, the course is in excellent shape, you won't find better condition.
If you go, please get a local to play with you. It's almost impossible to figure out where the holes go. There's plenty of room to spray your shots, but because the holes are mostly "back to back", it makes you a little worried that you might get pegged. They will give you a course booklet, and READ IT. There is ao much trouble that is hidden, you'd never see it yourself. If it's your first time, DO NOT WALK this course. You need a cart so you can ride up to see where you're hitting, and to make sure it's clear for your next shot.
worth the drive.
Creative holes, true greens, club selection critical.
Crafty Course, fun outing
Heritage Links is a fun test for the average golfer. Holes are not overly difficult, although the back 9 is more challenging than the front. A number of the holes require you to think before pulling out driver. Some nice elevation changes and shots that make you think. The course featured a Craft Beer Friday on the Par 3 holes - very neat idea! I'll be back in July when they do it again.
Good Value on the Hot Deal
Challenging length to the course, cannot use driver on all the holes.
Lots of blind shots so might be good to play with someone who knows the course.
Good variety of holes and shots.
Greens were OK, but it has been wet so they are soft and taking a bit of punishment.
Solid course
Enjoyed playing with Bryan who paired up with my buddy and I. Gave us pointers of how to play the course. But we all agreed that in the back 9 the holes get bunched together with the front 9 so it gets a little confusing as to what direction you're hitting the ball.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We are glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us and Bryan! We look forward to seeing you again soon. Thanks again for the feedback, it is greatly appreciated!
nice course, can't wait to play again
We played from the tips and enjoyed the length and challenge of the course, this course offers all
kinds of shots and lots of lay ups for your shots into the Greens
We are so glad you enjoyed yourself at our course! Thank you so much for the feedback and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Wide open fun course
Fun wide open golf course with some challenging holes I would play it again

Great Experience
I had a great experience at this course. I was a brand new golfer...just got my clubs a few weeks before. This was my first time out with them. The staff was extremely friendly. The cart girl was around often and even stopped to chat it up a few minutes. I left my brand new G wedge on the 17th hole but didn't realize it until I got home. I called the course pretty upset at myself and they had someone return it to the club house. I went to pick it up the next day and they had even cleaned it up for me. I was impressed. I only paid $10 for 18 holes with a cart and had a great time. I have and will return for sure.
Wrecked Farmland
This may be the worst designed course in MN. Blind shots over hills, up hills etc. There are bad holes, and then really bad holes. Suppose a good course for folks who just want to hit a ball around. If you value a good experience with memorable holes, drive 20 minutes in any direction for a better course.
this course a fun links course
we played in the fall. the ground was frozen which made for some long drives,
Great Fall Round!
The course was deceptively challenging. Lot's of risk/reward decisions that seemed to favor not taking the risk. Took the driver out my hand too often. With that said the rolling open design allowed for some extra-juiced swings on a few par 4 and almost every par 5. Played from the Golds (6,300). .
Watch out for pond on 18
A late October round is always a bonus!
Good mix of easier holes and tougher ones.
Make sure you club it correctly on 18.
