Great value
Course in great shape. Could use some water coolers spread out on some holes. Lots of bugs. Maybe due to all the rain? Bring spray just in case. Will be back.
disappointed
Got to the course on Sunday an hour early after driving an hour.
Club house was closed. Girl behind the bar said no carts due to rain. Said they had nothing to do with golf now so could not offer a refund.
Driving range was closed.
Offered us a pull cat for $10.00 that was a piece of junk if we wanted to play.
Course was completely soaked due to rain
If you are advertising on golf now then take responsibility and update your customers on course conditions.
If you have "nothing to do" with golf now stop the program.
What a waste of a day. Played 5 holes and quit.
Very playable
Best condition I've seen it in. Nice variety of holes. Trees are sparse enough you can recover from most bad swings. Overall just a nice small town course at a great price. Just a little to far for me or I would play it more often.
Interesting Course
Montgomery's public course is an interesting and value outing for the golfer interested in a moderately challenging course that can be enjoyable for all levels of golfers. The staff was very courteous and it was an enjoyable outing.
Nice little country course
Typical small town course. Bubba buddies and beer cart crowd. Nothing bad, nothing exceptional. Not worth the travel time when better tracks are closer.
Nice and Open in early season
Most trees had no leaves. made course much easier. would be tougher in summer months and with longer rough. Good course length, can play blues just fine.
Too pedestrian to travel too from metro.
I know it was early in the season, but the greens were far too shaggy and slow. The rough was too long making it difficult to find your ball 3' off the fairway.
Very workable and playable
This is another old-style course which provides an excellent value. The course is moderately challenging particularly when you play from the blue tee, but fairways are wide enough for high handicappers to enjoy fully. what I really like about this course is that this is truly a walk-able course. During the summer time, please at New Prague in the morning and then here in the afternoon. You will enjoy two great old-style courses.
NICE WIDE FAIRWAYS
very challenging course with a lot of uphills - hard greens
Nice greens, no frills
The course is fine. The greens and the tee boxes are too close together. They have no water or toilets on course. No cart girl.
DEAD
The whole course is dead grass. Looks like a cow pasture. Looks like there is no upkeep ever. i was literally the only one on the course!!!. Stay away!
Great Course
No problems at all... Great course for the money and the beverage person came by often which was very nice. The only reason I might not book again is because of how far it was from home. (I live in St. Paul)
Thanks!
long ways from home but for the money well worth it,
very friendly people, fun course to play very quiet and peaceful.
Great value for the price.
The course is a great value for the price. Good challenge for a mid-level handicap golfer like myself. Course was in good to very good condition.
Fun course to play.
This course played well. The greens played true and the fairways were in great shape. Moderate difficulty course good for the beginning golfer or the seasoned player. I just started playing again after a 35 year layoff and found it a challenge. A fun course to play without a long travel time.
Just okay experience, needs attention.
The course was backed up big time. We had to wait every hole 10 min or more to Tee Off. It needed more restrooms, only saw 1.
Monty is a personal favorite
This course has a great selection of golf holes, and is slightly below average from a length standpoint, but isn't too short so it's still enjoyable. I play here once a week on average and like almost everything about the course. The greens needed to be mowed the last time I played, but other than that it was in great shape. My only suggestion if you are playing for the first time, bring bug spray, and lots of it. In some areas the bugs get a little nasty, but if you have spray it isn't an issue at all.
Average course, Great price
Areas around the greens needed work. Greens in good shape though. Fun course with unique holes. I will be back.
This course is an excellent course for every handicap.
What a pleasant surprise! The course was challenging but fair. It was in good condition. No gimmicky holes.
Don't go golfing on a holiday!
This is a nice course for bogey golfers, good value. But, no rangers, no staff to assist anyone other than one person in the pro shop and not much assistance there. You get what you pay for, even with GolfNow!
This guy must have been lost or in Montgomery, Alabama. I've played MNGC many times and have never seen dead grass in the fairways. It may dry out in the rough since they only have single line irrigation. Greens, tees and fairways are always in great shape. Check all the other reviews for more accurate information.
