Montgomery National Golf Club

This course was in great shape given our late snow storms in Mid April. The greens were just average speed but rolled very true with hardly a blemish on them. The layout had a nice mix of doglegs going both left and right and I was impressed with the pace of play. I was a single playing behind a single behind a threesome and played in three hours. I used a Hot Deal and paid $18.46 with cart which for the money more than made up for the 30 minute drive to get there. The staff was friendly and I will definitely go back.

Beautiful layout, great golf holes, fantastic greens and it's not even May yet but course was in great condition. Must play course!!!

Greens should be rolled. Lots of hops and ball did not follow the breaks.

The course was in great condition, the greens were smooth, moderate speed, I would take this day anytime. Food at the turn was wonderful. If this course were closer to town, it would be packed

The course was very nice and not very busy - the less than ideal weather had a lot to do with how busy the course was. The layout is good with excellent signage directions to each hole. Some fairways were being worked on so you were forced to drive away from these areas. This was problematic for those who don't drive long off the tee like myself. Hopefully those areas will be usable when summer comes. Staff was excellent and had no issue with our reservation. We will come back!

Great day for golf. Course seemed to be in good shape despite small areas of over saturation. Have good round with a junior golfer who had a couple of really good holes. We had a good time and will play Montgomery again.

Greens were in puttable shape. Fairways and rough, plenty o' green. No stupid holes and a few that you will have to play smartly. I will gladly drive an hour from the cities to play this course for the right price (thanks Golf Now).

Talked about playing this course for years, but about an hour drive, so never played it until this weekend. Got a birthday special and decided to take advantage of the offer. Decent golf course for the price we paid, but would have been disappointed paying the weekend rate with cart for $48. If we get a decent deal again, may be back. Only issue was the foul language by the foursome finishing up their round on the 18th green. We were in the parking lot getting our clubs out of the vehicle at the time. Greens were a little bumpy from the aeration and some of the fairways were weedy. Leaves for the most part were not an issue as the grounds keepers had been mulching.

Conditions were great especially for early October. Wide open course not too long not too short great for all levels of golfers.

Nice mix of easy playable holes with a few challenging holes. Well maintained. I like the native grassy areas. Only complaint would be uneven sloped and domed tees.

Have played here 5 times this year and love the layout of the course. It is always in great condition and pace of play is very good if you play in the morning tee times are readily available and green fees are very reasonable. Well worth the drive from Burnsville

Moderate challenges and comfortable setting.

Montgomery seems like an odd place for such a great little golf course but it works. Everything is lush and well maintained, the course has good personality, and it's always a bargain. The only draw back is the clubhouse/bar but if you're there to golf you won't be disappointed.
