A great day on the course
I really like this course. It's a nice mix of holes that challenge all levels of golfers. Some of the greens are very tough if the pins are placed in difficult locations. The course has mature trees that line many of the fairways. Water comes in to play on several of the holes. We had a very enjoyable day. I will definitely play here again.
Big Greens, Bring your Putter
Fairly easy to reach all greens in regulation. Big undulating greens is where you can easily lose strokes.
Slow play
Course was over booked when we showed up and they were out of golf carts. Never ran into this before at any course, we had to wait for some to come in and then play was backed up on every hole making it a long round..............I have played here many times before and this was a first.
Great day with wife
Fun course with awesome greens. I play there whenever I get a chance. I used every club in bag and the staff was awesome. Highly recommend.
Meh
It was an average course all the way around. Wind plays against you on the entire front 9 due to its proximity to a highway.
great track
good course, good for all skill levels and great clubhouse. I will golf here again
This course has a great staff
This course was well groomed and maintained. The staff is courteous and friendly.
Hidden Gem
We started playing this course early this year and have played there about 5-6 times. The fairways, greens, and tee boxes are all in excellent condition. We play the tips to make it challenging for us and have yet to break 82. From Bloomington it is about one hour drive. The course is not heavly played so makes for a relaxing round. There is no GPS and the only yardage markers are the 200, 150 and 100 which are sometimes hard to see or find. I wish all the sprinklers had yardages marked on them. They do not have beverage carts but there is water on the course. There is a nice bar and outside patio area. There is a driving renge and chipping green and putting green, but they definately need some newer balls for the range.
Nice course
The course was very nice. Some weird holes like number 8 where you have no idea where the fairway is. Whoever designed hole number 8 should be executed. Overall nice course though. There was a 5-some in front of us that hindered play considerably. I would revisit that policy.
nice track and in really good condition
Its been extremely hot and the course was in really good condition. Tee boxes were great, fairways good, greens very nice. Too many people not repairing ball marks.
The staff were super nice and I paired up with a couple of guys and had a fun time.
Generally forgiving fairways with low cut rough and openness under trees. Some target golf with sharp dog legs.
Course condition was very good. Course management very poor. No Ranger to manage players created a 5 hour round. It was not too busy, just a foursome that had a two hole gap and no knowledge of golf etiquette ahead of the foursome in front of us. When I complained to the front desk after my round I was met with indifference. Not even an apology. Plan for a long round if you want to play this course - I know I won't be back.
good basic course
Very good condition overall, just a small amount of winter kill. old fashioned tree lined course. Nice variety with just a couple par 4s on the front that are mabey wedged in too tight and require couse knowledge. Play here at least once every year. Always enjoy it.
excellent values and conditions
Had an enjoyable round . The course was well maintained as always and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent value, strongly recommend for anyone who wants to drive to Monticello from the Twin Cities.
Good design variety
This course has a nice layout with a variety of holes. Long par fours and a couple of short ones. The greens were in good shape for this time of the year and the fairways had a decent amount of role even though they were slightly damp.
Overall a good golfing experience and I will go back.
this course offers a little bit of everything
The staff was extremely friendly and hhelpful and we were able to tee off whenever we we ready. We started behind a slower foursome that quickly let us play through. The weather conditions got a little rough but we still had a great time
Overall very nice.
Greens and fairways good condition. Nice course layout making an easy course to walk.
Great fun course
This course is in excellent shape, well maintained and always have great green.
