CreeksBend Golf Course

I've played this course several hundred times as I'm a long time resident of the area. I have witnessed this course go from being a really good place to play, to becoming an overvalued profit machine for the owners. They've substantially raised their rates this year, which I'm sure was to cover the cost of the new carts that were so badly needed. The cost to play there now, is either the same, or more than other nearby courses that are far more superior in terms of course conditions, layout, pace of play, amenities, and hospitality.

Other than the new carts, they really haven't put any money towards maintaining the course. Many of the once paved cart paths, have now been milled into gravel and are rarely ever graded. Drainage is also very poor throughout many areas of the course, don't expect to use the driving range if there's been any recent rain as half of it sits on a swamp, and they can't retrieve the balls. Most of the wooden bridges over the creek are also in a state of disrepair. The grounds crew basically consists of a single Greenskeeper, and a few high school kids that help out in the summer, there really isn't enough workers or equipment to keep fairways, tee boxes, bunkers, and greens consistent throughout the course. You rarely ever see them not allow carts on the course after a rain, they care more about profit from cart fees than they do about the damage that occurs to the course when they're used.

They also seem to have absolutely no control over who tees off, and when. If you check in as a twosome on a busy weekend, you either have to ask around by the first tee, or assume they didn't pair you with any others. It's also not uncommon to see several groups of 5, 6, or even more playing together. Long time members, and friends of the staff are basically allowed to have free reign when it comes to when they can play, where they can tee off, and how many they can gave in their group.

If you ever have to deal with a manager, you can usually find him, or his brother about 6 beers deep on the patio with their buddies.

I hate to be this critical of any course, but $65 for a round of golf at this place just isn't worth it. Invest some money into the course itself, and into better management if you're going to charge that much.

I have called 3x asking for a refund and it was never processed. The normal rep TR is kind and hospitable. The GM that called me back named Brian threatened me with needing an attorney for a refund, he shouldn't be managing a lemonade stand much less a golf course. I just want my money back as it is clearly defined in your policy that I would be refunded if course was closed due to weather. Please cease operations with Creeks Bend as they are not honoring the refund policy defined in the booking guidelines.

Course is in good shape. All that was available at the turn was chips and candy bars. No hot dogs were available at 11:30am.

Creeksbend Golf Course has a lot of upside, but I would say its greatest asset is the friendly staff. When one deals with a staff member, one can be very confident that the person will be extremely helpful and make you feel good about being there. It isn't the most expensive,, challenging, or classy, but it may be the friendliest and the course you will have the most fun playing

The course is well maintained and reasonably priced. The staffs are friendly and accommodating.

Wonderful winter round. Great course condition for this time of year!

Course only cares about making money. Booked online, show up and have to pay additional for cart. Noticed five some and sixsomes teeing off. Talking to cart girl she said people showed up without tee times and they let them out without carts. At one time we had 3 foursomes on a tee box. Because of this we didn’t even get to finish our round due to darkness. Round took 4hrs and 30 mins without finishing.

Just the fact that this course has stayed open this late in the year is the reason I'm giving it 5 stars. Staff is great. They are super friendly and accommodative. I love the fact that the course is willing to stay open until there's lots of snow on the ground. It helps to satisfy the die hards like me.

Great variety of challenges from one hole to the next; top notch maintenance

Natural beauty enhanced by a fine gardener. Easy 30 minute drive south of Minneapolis. Green fees with cart are kind to a senior's budget.
