Great course if you’re in to 7 hours rounds
They really just let anybody on here. Don’t play here if you’re trying to get a quick round in or make your grandma’s funeral next week
So Close...
A conflicted review for Oak Marsh. I really like the course layout and the people are great. But a two things that are disappointing - one can be controlled and the other can't. First, Oak Marsh is the definition on a public course - lots of players, poor etiquette, greens that should be great but almost know one has heard of repairing divots, and tee boxes that look like they have taken incoming artillery shells. I played later in the day so I may have seen the course at its worst. Very firm and fast greens that hold few shots - probably the weather. All of that is what it is really - so not a huge complaint.
But pace of play was bad and not a ranger in site. My twosome ended up getting lucky and multiple groups let us play through - including the six-some that had really slowed things down. How does that happen?????!!?!!!! Six players in a group? Another two some was so bad we drug behind them for over 20 minutes on a par 5. Ranger should have been there telling them to pick up their ball and move on since we couple up to the other part of their foursome that had left them behind they were so bad. I really don't care if you are bad - just realize you may have to pick up your ball and call it quits on certain holes when you have groups behind you. This is a problem that could easily be fixed - have a ranger and don't send out six-somes.
Otherwise, the course is a lot of fun. Challenging but not crazy. Pretty straight forward in the way you play it so better golfers may find it on the easier side.
Oak Marsh
Course is in great shape, greens softening up, friendly staff, great value
Great track
Great track Steve and the boys keep the place nice, greens are super nice. Thank you Shawn E
One of my favorites
Best carts in the cities. Very gettable course and a lot of fun
Greens
Greens were great as far as the work the grounds crew does. Wish the golfers themselves would do their part and fix their ball marks.
Good early condition
Pretty good greens this early in the year. Tee boxes were bare however. Fairways and rough ok.
Fun Round / Good Shape
Course was in really nice shape. Greens were extremely fast. We played 18 in 3:10. Will play again.

The course was very challenging and in very good condition despite heavy rain overnight. I’d recommend this course to anyone who enjoys a challenge
Pace of play
We had a threesome with carts that got stuck behind a foursome that was walking. The foursome played very very slow and no one enforced pace of play. We finished way behind place of play and no course marshal was anywhere around. I feel like they were regulars at the course, which I can appreciate, but keep the game moving. We had long waits on every tee box. Maybe one of them was playing for a course record, but I doubt it.
