Solid Course
Had a fun round as a solo. The greens can be tricky and challenging along with some fun water holes.
Rolling hills and wide fairways
Loved this place. Will be back.
Like all city/county courses… it’s busy. But close to home and great conditions.
Average at best
Staff was very friendly, although the pin placements on the greens reminded more of minigolf. Pin placements 12'-15' on the cusp of a ridge that carries your ball off the green and into the fairway on several greens was neither enjoyable, nor leaving me wanting to come back. Very few greens would hold a high shot into them and with the steeper approaches bump and runs were a guessing game. Course has potential, but needs better management.
Very Nice Course
Manitou Ridge was in very good condition from tee to green. The layout was not long but still very challenging. Bring a foursome or bring your patience.
Not your ordinary municipal golf course
We’ve all played municipal golf courses that have very little variation- mostly flat holes zig-zagging back and forth - Manitou is not that type of course. Played on May 1st before the conditions were perfect, but it was easy to see & play this as a stepped up public. Good hole designs, elevation changes, water carries and strategically placed bunkers. Not a top tier course, but in the top 25%. Can’t wait to play again when the grass has firmed up and greens are a little faster. I walked and had no problem.
