Great day at the course
We had a great day at Eagle Valley. Everything went smoothly and the course was in pretty good shape. The only thing I noticed was a few tee boxes need some work and we were teeing off on a few too many slants.
Eagle Valley was great
Everything was great. The only thing I would work on is the tee boxes. There were a few too many that were on slants.
Different Challenge
I had only enough time to get out to play a round. The course was set up nicely and the shots were different than most course of a similar caliber. I had fun and expect to add this one to my list for a consistent play.
Starter was rude
Starter was rude and wouldn’t let my little brother ride in his own cart. Paying almost $200 to play and my little brother having to sit next to a complete stranger the whole time was ridiculous.
I’ll be back
Nice course. Great condition. Great staff. Challenging but not overwhelming.
Friendly rangers
The rangers are great. Very nice about asking to keep pace to keep everyone moving along for a great 18 holes.
Great day of golf
Was a windy day for golf. Rangers do a great job of keeping the pace of play moving along. I wish that every course did the same. One of the rangers said that they had to have a group of players to pick up their balls and move to the next hole because they were behind a hole in play. That is the reason we played in 4 hours. I myself work at a club and that is the biggest reason for slow play. It only takes one or two groups to slow down play for the day. People need to keep up with the group ahead of them. My wife and I have played Eagle Valley a lot for this reason and condition of course. One of the best public courses in the state.
Quite enjoyable...
I've been wanting to play this course because of the architect... David Kirscht. I play at his other design Riverwood National GC in Otsego quite often and my curiosity led me to playing Eagle Valley.
The layout was fun and unexpected too. I enjoyed the routing despite the similar "housing development. design. Well maintained, good staff, all-in-all a great day!
Poor course management
The course was OK. The staff was dense. The pro shop and starter did not have me on the tee sheet despite pre-booking. After seeing a female ranger hovering around us on 14-16 we were informed that, although we were on time, there were two holes open in front of us. Well, who cares? Not our problem. If we are on time nothing else matters. It wrecked our round, and I was having a good one for my first time there. Never again. They are clueless!
Drought
They could use a little more water- greens usually in good shape we’re a little furry and inconsistent we are in a drought so hopefully better next year
Greens still a little bumpy from aerification, but not terrible.
Never Again
I will NEVER play here again. Accused of not paying at the turn. Guy checking is in before round was rude and arrogant. Just don't get the feeling they appreciate your business. There are better options at better prices.
In your last review, you said you would "never play here again!"... yet here you are complaining again and giving it another 1-star rating. To me, it seems like you have a vendetta and agenda and it wouldn't surprise me if you created different anonymous accounts to post all of these poor reviews and ratings!! Do us all a favor and quit playing golf, take up pickle-ball instead.
