Saint Clair Shores Country Club

I really enjoy this course. The course is a great bang for your buck. The course is quite short even from the tips, but I wouldn’t say it’s super easy. Tee boxes are in fairly good condition, however some tee boxes are uneven. The quality of the greens has increased from last year, They are faster than they use to be. This is a fun course to play, I would definitely recommend it.

This is a course where you have to be one of the first groups out. The pace of play really slowed down on the back 9 to the point where I left after hole 13. Amazing course and I’d definitely play here again.

It's a short distance course and the fairway is be closed other hole so the tee shot often goes to the be closed hole.

Overall a good course for one owned by the city. Play is extremely slow and have groups playing from the tips with their drives only going 20 yards past the White Tees. Marshals need to be more frequent around the course to increase pace of play.

Rangers need to do their job and move people along who are holding up the course. It was a special kind of slow today.

Overall, the staff and course were very nice (especially Ann in the pro shop). We paid for 18 holes at twilight which I will admit was a risk on our end and our decision. However, even with that in mind we barely made it through 9 holes in 3 hours due to back ups at holes. We were started on the back 9 and did tee off at our tee time but the pace of play was pretty terrible. At one point, there were four groups (four foresomes) backed up at one hole. The group behind us went back and played the prior hole three times before we even moved ahead one hole. Like I said, for the price it was alright but we could’ve easily finished 18 holes as we were scrambling anyway (and still only made it through 9 holes in 3 hours). I plan on going back but hope the pace is better next time.

Love this course and it's ALWAYS busy here, but when it's not and you finally get a chance to have the course to yourself the only problem is maintenence can be in the way. I had a 630 am t time and they were still trying to maintain the greens/areas around it, which made it difficult at some points to play a shot. Out of respect of not wanting to hit directly at someone who may or may not be paying attention. I really didn't feel like taking a whole lot of risk same thing for the other player I was with. It would be nice if there were a way for them to do all the maintaining before any tee times. They are friendly people about it though.

One of the best public courses in the area. This golf course fills up fast and to me that tells that people love it. They have begun making necessary upgrades to bunkers and paths that assure a much better time for everyone.
