Par 4 fourth hole. Long and slightly uphill with a tree hanging over in the so called fairway. One of the few holes I enjoyed playing. Photo submitted by BuffaloBen15 on 10/26/2020
Greens need work, beautiful course
Loved the staff, and especially the price, I paid less than $25 for the tee time with one of those hot deals. The starter got me on the course about 20 mins early because I was ready and as a solo, multiple groups let me play through. I finished 18 in less than 3 hours starting around 11am. The course is relatively flat and not necessarily super challenging, but the fairways, bunkers, and even some of the tee boxes were in great condition. The only problem I ran into was the greens, it seemed like they had not been cut in at least a week and the practice green was somehow even worse. It felt worse than putting on carpet, you have to smack the ball like a 60 foot putt on any other green to have it go 10 feet here. With that being said I still had a lot of fun on this course and will be going back hoping for better green conditions.
Overcharged
On golf now it said that there was $85 due at the course. When we got there we were informed the rate was actually more and that it would be $99, and that this was a golfnow issue not a maple lane issue. Super scammy. Dude was a behind the counter was super rude and just said that’s the way it is. Course is NOT worth $49.
Nice Round
Maple Lanes is a classic golf course tree lined with nice greens.
Engineering
Nice corse finding next hole on 3 spots got a little confusing
Fun round!
This was my first time playing this course. I did the North 18 holes. The staff was all super friendly.
the front 9 was a little hectic. Lot's of people playing, lots of golf balls flying around, but still a lot of fun. It felt very casual which was perfect because I'm still a novice.
the back 9 was perfect. the crowds thinned out, and it was very calm.
overall, i would definitely come back again.
Everything was good except for the starter. The golf cart that we received was severely damaged. The seat had nails popping through which made this very uncomfortable to sit on and it was all smashed up. We asked for a new cart, and he said, why what's wrong with this one. He got in it and drove like a maniac in the parking lot and came to a screeching stop and said it's fine. I've never seen anything like this before. All we wanted was a different cart, there were twenty of them.Sitting there. We finished the trackand I don't.I'll ever return.. shot a 73 for 18.
Rude staff & bad course conditions
I attended an outing here of 72 people, and we were advised by one of the staff members that after we completed 9 holes to come to the club house for a hot dog and pop then head back out to the following hole we left off at. Simple miscommunication and it was corrected however the way it was handled was completely unacceptable and rude. The boss man came out to the grill sectionals yelling and telling us he’s going to triple charge us because we are taking away business from him when he can have other golfers out there (there was about 14 of us getting food at the time while the other 58 golfers from the outting were out there waiting on other tee times they stacked on top of eachother. After that fiasco he caused there he went up to a 16 year old we had with our group, who was sitting in the cart setting up his 18 birdies and he said “quit wasting my time and get out there, ignorant kid”
The course is poorly managed, dirty and the fairways don’t exist.
The karts hardly work, there were empty beer cans on the side of the greens, just overall horrible experience.
Staff cooperation
The staff here went above and beyond to accommodate our group of 10. We had to book at the last minute and they made it possible.
Would be tough for me to recommend for anyone to go there
This course was average at best. The tee boxes were beat up and it was tough to locate where the fairways were. I must say the greens were in good shape.
We got on the fifth hole and it started raining buckets. The rain was coming down so hard that we and everyone had to make their way back to the clubhouse.. We got so wet that we decided not to continue and when I stopped into the pro shop was given only a $10 rain check.
Average
Maple Lane has 3 Average golf Courses. They are different but not spectacular. The greens are small but slow enough to hold an approach shot. The tee boxes could use some work but so does all the other places in the area. If you can get a discounted rate then this turns into a value Course.
Overall I recommend Maple Lane because you can almost get a round in all the time.
Cost friendly course
Overall, I enjoyed the play with the acceptable course. It was pretty comfortable layout and easier than the other courses. The only concern that I had was it was little hard to find the next hole, there was not enough sign for that,
