Busy but so worth it
Maple Lane is one of the busiest, friendliest most well run golf courses I have been to in recent memory. 54 holes of great greens and fun times. Courses like Maple Lane do their best with what they offer. The managers will always listen and the staff takes fast and good care of you. In this day and age with online, phone call and in person tee times they do it better than anyone with that many holes to manage. The price is worth it people want Augusta National for nothing these days and people who do not know the business have NO business writing a review.
Slow play and no carts
over played and just trying to get everyone out. No starters to monitor pace of play. Lots of new golfers out there.
Bland course
Course is quite flat, only hole 18 has some varied terrain. Greens have some old school charm, but it ends there. There are much better courses to seek out in the area.
Where are the fairways?
This course would be pretty good for someone new to the game but otherwise, not worth it. Only thing giving it three stars are the tee boxes and greens. They're pretty fast and smooth. Only a 68.4/111? I'm ashamed i didn't break 80 here. (Still haven"t LOL). The east and north were even easier than that! Thank god they let me on the west course or else I would've just gone to Rammler up the road. Bunkers were hard and not enough sand. In their defense they were wet, as it had rained the day before. The fairways aren't even fairway they're more like rough? I had a hard time finding my ball on a few holes. Rates aren't ridiculous, but still not worth it.
They triple book tee times
Showed up and it looked like a golf outing. They just take every reservation possible. They had people parking next to a hole. Absolutely ridiculous how many people were waiting and we would’ve have had to wait an hour after our tee time to tee off.
Like playing on concrete
Unlike the beginning of the season when everything was soaking wet and soggy, This course was hard as a rock!! May not have been watered in weeks!! Hit as high tee shot and the ball would bounce 8 ft in the air and roll forever. Which would be ok if the roll was forward. When it hit the ground you never know which direction it would go. At one point my clubs bounced out of the cart!! Needs to be watered badly!! Greens were ok though.
Decent for what it is
Enjoyed playing the course. Not as nice as some others but you also pay more for them. Still has some damage from the early season wet weather. Overall not too bad. Will play again. good place to work on your game.
Don’t listen to others GolfNow is the issue
Play all the time at Maple Lane. The staff is the friendliest most accommodating folks you will ever meet. The course was in great shape considering the little rain as of the late. The manager will greet and meet you when ever he has a chance and always offers the warmest and most friendly atmosphere around. The food is second to none. The burgers are delicious. I wish people understood who and what happens during a golf season so they actually knew what to say about certain facilities.
Maple Lane - North Course
Very fast paced golf course. Fairways were running well, except for a few rough spots that was being worked on. Fairways are wide open, with no water and few bunkers. Trees are the major hazard and can jump out at your ball if you're not straight. Very good course.
Awesome greens!!!!
Very nice greens, beautiful shape. Kinda short holes need's more yardage.
Eagle on 7
Maple lane is usually a good place to play because it is so wide open but it does get busy sometimes and that can lead to a slow round but this time it was a ghost town for me and my brother. We played 18 in 2 1/2 hours and i witnessed my brother get an eagle on the par 5 7th with a 3 wood bomb from 250 out to the middle of the green to sink a 30 footer. The week after he got an eagle on the 9th hole by driving the green. Besides those amazing holes maple lane is always a good play because it is a very straight forward course that is well kept and its easy to shoot par.
Will never be back
Course full of hackers lacking etiquette. No rangers keeping pace. At turn ranger starting a league and put me as the 11th twosome to tee off. Told to wait or switch the course I was playing.which we did.. Once again stuck behind hackers and waited before every shot. Quit after playing 15 holes. Took 4 hours and 15 minutes to that point. If we kept our current pace it would have taken 6 hours +. Course itself was in fair condition but nothing well.
Girl at the counter was rude
18 for 18 can't beat the price. Later In the season I'm sure it's more . Not sure if it's worth it then.the greens look like they haven't blown them off since the snow melted
