Great shape
This course was in great shape from the first tee box to the last green. It was a short course but plenty of trouble to find to add shots to the score card.
Course is well maintained
It's a short course playing just over 6,000 yards from the tips, but strategically placed bunkers and water hazards add to the difficulty. Everything from the tee box to the green was very well maintained. It's a fun course to play for any skill golfer.
Great Course For the Money
We played on Sunday July 7th and the course was full but pace of play was great 4 hour round. The staff here is amazing from the pro shop to the marshall, all were very nice and made u feel welcome course is not long but very well maintained one of the nicest muni's anywhere around. play it u will love it, highly recommended
Nice course
Worth the money nice people great conditions pretty easy course perfect for the average golfer
Great track very good conditions greens were rolling very nice.
Enjoy playing this Muni course when I get the chance. Although a short track the conditions of the fairways and greens are excellent. Staff is friendly and the cart girls made it back to us several times during the round. Fun little track to play. Pace of play was a bit slow but that was due to juniors playing and walking the course with there parents. I had no issues with it as golf needs to grow the sport with the younger crew. Plus I realize I had a afternoon tee time and that is what you will run in to on most courses at that time of day.
Gorgeous Course. Very well maintained.
The course was in Pristine condition from everything to the greens to the carts. I'm going to golf this course again. It wasn't the hardest course but I really enjoyed myself. They don't over book the course and the staff is really friendly.
very short but in good shape...
Play from the tips, helps make it a little more changelling..
Urban location with great conditions
SCSCC is in the heart of suburban Detroit. Water comes into play on many holes. The course conditioning is superior. The staff is very welcomimg.
Golf Now is not a value for the senior golfer
I had to pay $25 thru Golf Now and the senior rate at the course was $24. The tee time was not available at the course, just on Golf Now.
great course
course was great slow at times but alright for weather getting better
Fun to play, not to long
Fairways were in good shap, approch to greens were smooth, greens trickey to read but all the same on speed. Sand was playable and for April thats very good.
Standard shorter muni. Way too slow.
The course is average at best. Right off the freeway, so nothing pleasing to the eye here. They seriously need to spread their tee times more effectively or hire rangers that do something, as the pace of place was awful. We left after playing 8 holes in over 3 houra.
Great value, good course conditions, but play was a little slow.
Good value; could have played the course for the same cost to the course that Golf Now tee time cost.
Course Conditions; great for this time of year in Michigan.
Staff; is courteous, not overly friendly.
Pace of Play; was slow, to be expected for mild weather in Nov.
Nice course for the beginner.
My friend is learning to play and was able to play this course easily. That's not to say it is easy. There are several carries over water and many bunkers.
Great course to play in the Fall.
Beautiful municipal course. Well maintained, tee boxes and greens were in great condition considering the time of year. Carts have windshields and no leaves to contend with.
this course plays too slow
i've ben to st claire shore twice now and both time wasn't a very good experiencethe couse is nice and maintained but they seem to over book it and it plays just way too slowyou never tee off at your sceduled tee time and you spend most of your time waiting for the people in front of you too shoot i know golf is suppose to be relaxing but at st clair shore bring your lawn chair cause you'll be waiting alot
Always a challenge to play and fast greens.
Faster than normal greens; course is usually in great shape..very traditional course with alot of variety! Always a joy to play. Played in fall..usually very busy; paired us up with another two some whom were very enjoyable to play with.
challenging shorter course
I have enjoyed playing this course for several years. It has two challenging par 3 holes, both of them have a forced carry over water. It is a tight course with some water to consider on several holes. Most of the greens are challenging and two putts can be difficult if you are out of positon on the green.
Very well kept public course.
I live only 5 minutes from here, so I guess you could say its my home course and its probably one of the best kept public courses you will find and its yardage is suitable for all types of players.
