Lake of the Woods Golf Course

I couldn’t take the pace of play. There was clearly no Marshall on the course and whoever coordinated tee times was clueless. I guess 5 stacks are common here. We had three and sometimes four groups stacked up at every tee box and green just waiting on a 5 stack four groups up.

Only removed on star because majority of the experience was positive. 4.5 hour round was not too bad for peak hours on Friday. The course was in good shape but the greens had just been aerated which led to a lot of putts.

The course is in good shape considering it's still late winter. There were not any noticeable issues with fairways, greens or tee boxes. Like a lot of courses, pace of play can be an issue depending on who is on the course as there are no marshals pushing folks to play at an acceptable pace or let others play through.

Good course for the price. It has nice driving range, chipping area, and putting green.

This was my first time playing the course in the last couple of years. I walked this round, and ended up playing with a single walking in front of me as we waiting on the group ahead to move. The course is in decent shape for this late in the year.

Pace of play was good, conditions are pretty decent overall. Brought some family from St Louis and they enjoyed it for the most part. Would return when in the area

Pace of play is ridiculously slow, something called the $3 club slows everyone down(older men playing or gambling whatever you wanna call it) they take up the whole course took over 5hrs to play a round.

Fairways are decent. Tee box and greens a bit ragged.

Plus not much food selection.

For being a public course you can’t beat Lake of the Woods. With Golf Now deals you can snag 18 with s cart for under $20 sometimes. For average golfers it is challenging enough and not too difficult.
