Great Course!
Day was perfect weather and many golfers were out on the course, but pace of play was very good! Great condition on fairways and greens even though we have not had rain in weeks! Staff was very friendly as well.
Great Course and Wonderful Staff
My wife and I go to the lake a few times each year and really enjoy the atmosphere and golf. This was our first time playing and the Eldon Golf Club in Eldon, MO, and we will definitely be returning for the foreseeable future. The 18-Hole par 71 course is a beautiful layout and is just challenging enough that it requires good golf shots. We stop at played on our way home on a whim, paying at the course. Being a weekend we were not expecting to get out right away, however the gentleman working the counter was extremely appreciate and found a way for us to play. As we were putting on the practice green awaiting our tee time, a few members (personal carts) introduced themselves and were very polite. We definitely will be returning and fully recommend this facility. It is truly the "Hidden Gem of the Lake of the Ozarks," as advertised.
Perfect Facility for the whole family
We get over and play Eldon about 6-10 times a year. I've read through some of the reviews and find it hard to believe that anyone could rate this anything less than 4 stars. The staff is absolutely first class and always friendly to me and my family. They even let my wife and kid swim in their member's only pool while I finished up the back nine. The golf course is always in perfect shape. While I was waiting on a group in front of me on hole #15, the General Manager was out on the course checking on pace of play. He stopped and asked out my day was going and if I enjoyed the course. First time a GM of any facility has ever spoke to me on the course before. Goes to show me that they genuinely care about their customers and how his facility is for all golfers. I recommend this facility to all my friends who come in from STL to play golf in the ozarks. Why pay double the price to play courses at the lake who don't really care about you being there and just treat you as a number. I've done hot deal bookings, pay at the course bookings, etc for this facility. I now only do pay at the course bookings simply because I want to keep my money that I spend in the local economy.
Well maintained course, fairways and greens are in excellent condition also the bunkers.
Eldon CC
Gentleman working the desk was rather arrogant and rude. The course maintenance guy was friendly and courteous. For the money it was a fair deal.
Find another course
I booked a tee time through GolfNow.. I got there early and since there was absolutely no one in sight, I asked if I could tee off. The guy notices I booked through GolfNow and starts to give me a hard time saying you paid for a specific tee time and that's when you should go. I wasn't asking to go in front of anyone because there wasn't anyone other than me and him on the property. He relented and let me go. I made the turn and got to number 10 and there was a five-some of 70 year olds who they let go off on 10 even though 1 was open. While I was waiting a ranger drove out to them. I was hoping he would tell them to let me play through. He obviously didn't because when I got to 11 the five-some had already teed off and was slowing going down the fairway. I quit at that point and went home. There are a lot of great courses in the area so there is no need to visit this one. If they don't like GolfNow, they should not use it.

This course is in very good shape for a small town course
the course was in very good shape including the greans. It was a great value and we will recommend it to others
Play it every time I am in the Ozarks
I have played Eldon CC every year for the past 10 + years at least once, mostly twice, each week, when at the Lake. Friendly staff and a well maintained course with enough difficulty for just about any golfer. Turns out, that a good friend of mine is a relative to Michael Cummings. I would suggest, if you are at the Lake, Eldon is only right up the road. Tee it up!
Best value at the lake for a golf course
The course was in the best condition we have seen it in this year. The fairways were very lush and the greens were good. THis course has it's challenging holes like two par 5's that sometimes seem like they are 600 yards but not really. We enjoying playing this course every time we visit the Lake of the Ozarks. I would highly recommend this course for the value of what the rates are.
Fairways are green
A very nice course at the price. The fairways and greens are in excellent condition. There are quite a few spots where rocks are present on the intermediate cut off the fairways and rough but we've had a lot of rain and run off. I will play again.
Hidden gem at Lake of the ozarks for golfers
This course is in great shape, even after last week's storms. The rolling hills make for challenging play, while the fairways are wide for average golfers. The course is lush and well tended. It is a great value and away from the rush of the lake courses.
The course was fun and challenging and the staff member at the course was very friendly and accommodating.
