One of the better public courses in the state
We played the combo of the River and Mountain courses. Probably one of the better public courses in the state of Missouri that I have played in recent years. The layout is challenging with a slope of 134 and water everywhere. The conditions were immaculate and feel like we got our money’s worth of the pricey greens fees that we paid!
The Rivers has a nice routing. The tee boxes and fairways were very well kept but the greens were amazing. They were a touch soft but everyone fixed their ball marks. Plus, they rolled so pure and very fast.
The Mountain nine has incredible views. So many breathtaking locations to see plus some serious elevation changes. A couple of blind shots, which I don’t love. Hole 2 is a very short par 3 with a huge drop that is all carry, while 3 is a challenge going uphill. Hole 6 is almost a drivable par 4, while 8 is so downhill that photos and videos just don’t do it justice. Loved that nine holes.
Off the tee is pretty simple due to wide fairways but then the course gets difficult on second shots. Tough to top the views and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Big thumbs up and urge everyone to play.
Tom, in the pro shop ,was awesome!!! Helped us have a wonderful day!!!!
River Nine was nice.
River Nine was a nice. The Mountain Nine was a little too strenuous for a eighty-year-man due to staying on cart path on some of the most challenging holes. I would definitely play it again.
Great Anniversary Getaway
Played the course for the first time on March 27, 2021. The staff was incredibly helpful, letying us know where to go to start the River course and Mountain course. Stopped at the clubhouse after the first nine to grab a snack and drinks, both a great value for the price. Being early in the season, the course wasn't green yet and was very wet in spots, completely expected. Would love to come back and play again later in the season.
Beautiful Golf Course
Our group of 4 traveled 12 hours to golf in the Lake of the Ozarks area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Osage National golf course. The staff were very helpful. The course was wet due to rain the day before, but very happy we golfed. Oh the views were awesome, the greens were fun but watch out for those sand traps, especially the ones that are connected. Highly recommend this course.
Nice course, great value!
Osage National is a challenging, fun, scenic golf course(s)! I wouldn't hesitate to play again!
Scenic, very challenging course worth playing
This course is very long and very challenging. Fairways and tee boxes in excellent shape. Greens were in so - so shape, but its a public course... Lots of big elevation changes and blind shots, particularly off the tee. If you are not in the fairway (which thankfully are pretty wide), you are dead. Pros - Beautiful scenery for sure - hard to beat it for a non ocean side course. Staff very friendly and very accommodating. On the negative side - price point is a little steep in my opinion, but not prohibitively so. Pace of play was terrible (the Course allowed a 5 some to play in early October, which to me is unforgivable when you are paying $200 plus for your round). On several blind shot from the tee holes, there is a stick in fairway where you are supposed to aim your shot - if you spank your drive over the stick, your ball should be in play, not in the rough. All in all, glad we played it.
Got what I ordered in a very timely manner
Course is challenging, with lots of water and sand traps.. The fairways are forgiving and the greens are in excellent condition.. I look forward to playing it again soon!
