Great Course and great people
Played another great round of golf. Staff were extremely friendly made the course play even better. My friends and i will be back.
Always fun
Played father's day weekend with my son. It was easy enough for him not to be frustrated
Great Value
Many of the other reviews will be overly harsh, comparing this course to one of the more expensive municipal-supported or semi-private tracks in the area.
This course is well maintained for the layout which is largely devoid of sand; save for the trademarked 10, which forces a decision to go for the glory of a par 4 Eagle or layup in front of the green-wide sand bunker jealously guarding the 230 yard carry over her.
For the price and casual atmosphere this is a jewel of historic Fenton, Missouri.
Rough Course
The day was perfect, the grass was not. There was crabgrass everywhere and the fairways were patchy.
Very Good Value
On short notice, wife & I played 9 holes on a pleasant January Sunday afternoon for a total price of $35 via Golf Now. The staff was very accommodating. The course is located only 10 minutes away from our house in Des Peres & was more challenging than I remembered. The one drawback was that the course was cart path only, which made little sense to me since the fairways were quite firm and the Bermuda grass was dormant.
A little long for a beginner course
Course layout very flat not very exciting Fairways barely passable Green's slow and not very well attended to overall not much of a challenge and rather boring
Not Bad
It's a decent course, has a problem with flooding due to being next to the river. but overall its a decent 18 that wont cost you an arm and a leg to play. also extremely friendly staff and pretty easy to get a tee time last minute.
Be prepared to wait
Overall the course is pretty good, but very narrow. I was almost hit several times by stray drives. Long wait times for Saturday should be expected. Overall good experience and friendly staff
RGC
Obviously recovering from the big flood. Clubhouse has to be torn down and a couple greens were almost unputtable. Paid $11 for 18 so we got what we paid for. Feel for the club because their staff is very friendly and welcoming. Interested to see how they recover.
A Round at Riverside
Started early, and was able to finish in about 4 hours. It's clear they are recovering from flood damage, but I still enjoyed my round. Heck, I shot a PB, so I can't complain very much. The greens were rough though, and you could see how they were impacted by all the water.
Garbage
The fairway is like hitting out of a rough. Complete lack of upkeep, horribly disorganized staff, and most of the people on the course were wearing jeans, driving on the green, or hitting into other groups of player. Negative 2/10 would not play again.
Reasonably good course
Considering the springtime the course was maintained pretty good
Enjoyed my first day of golf this year
