Do NOT play on Thursdays!!
We had a tee time at 1:30. At 3:30 a Marshall came around and told us that a group of 80 men in a golf league would be starting. Basically telling us to leave the course. We were playing on time. We asked for a refund since we only got nine holes in and they wouldn’t refund us. Ruined our day!
Getting Better
Tee time of 12:48 on Saturday, June 12th. Course is in better condition than when I played about a month ago. Didn’t run into anyone until the 14th hole so the pace of play until that point was perfect. Still wish they had a driving range or even a net to hit into but a fun course I always go back to.
Fun Course, Poorly Managed
Course was in great condition and we had beautiful weather.
However, the pace of play and the way it is handled addressed is ridiculous. It's not the 5+ hour round that bothers me so much. We get to hole 9 a par 5 with a blind tee shot. There are 2 groups backed up on the tee box. We waited 25 minutes before we could hit. We had a spotter go up to the top of the hill to let us know when it was clear. Hit my shot to the middle of the fairway and go straight to my ball. This is the part that makes me mad, The marshal drives up just as I'm addressing the ball and says "you guys need to pickup the pace" I explained to him we just waited 25 minutes (got to the tee box at 10:30 and hit at 10:55). He didn't seemed to care and said pickup the pace.
I told the general manager about the backup at the turn and his response to the backup was "everyone blames the other guy for slow play and not much we can do. We try our best"
Just really disappointed in the marshal and his handling of the backup and the general manager's "oh well" attitude.
Decent layout
Incline is fair priced for the condition. Staff was rude but kept pace of play well

Solid
Course is in decent shape but the greens need a little work. Still early in the year so it’s hard to be too harsh. Pace was 4.5 hours which isn’t terrible but it should be a lot faster for a 9:30 tee time. I like the new carts but really wish they had a driving range. Overall, it’s a great layout and hard to stay away at $45.

Good course , bad staff
We had a foursome of descent golfers, had a good time, other than the staff is rude and needs to keep in mind , no golfers , no job. Not that hard to be pleasant to people.
The views are worthy it
First and foremost I would recommend this course. It was fun and challenging. It was extremely busy which was no surprise. Even though it was crowded it went pretty quick, but I could imagine it coming to grind if you got behind the wrong group. The green, fairways, and tee boxes were in good condition. I think the greens were arirated and sanded approximately 1-3 weeks ago so it made the putting so so. It is that time of the year. The course is chanlenging. An island green feel on one of the pair threes and the way the tee boxes were situated you had to make good decisions off the tee. Next Time I will add a photo or two.
I had the same experience this past week. Don't play on Thursday. I liked the course but no one told us about league night. The people I thought were friendly, and the course in good shape. We just need better communication. Thanks
