Country Lake Golf Club

Play was extremely slow due to tee times being too close and there were actually 5-somes playing as well as an 8-some playing. It took 1 hour just to play 3 holes. We actually couldn’t finish our round as we had to be somewhere else. We played 14 holes in 4 hours. If you play this course make sure you are one of the 1st tee times of the day, or plan to be there all day.

Greens was really bad, fungus taking over greens putting had to move ball around in order to put because of Gigi’s and greens very bad shape

Fairways are getting very nice as some of the tee boxes. Some of the greens need work especially the shorter par 3's.

Steps on #4 tee box are dangerous.

Cart Paths really need to be re-done, but it does slow people down but is hard on backs and carts.

What i really love about the course is there are no houses, and the new owners are really making some changes like the new bridge on 6.

I like the course so much I drive an hour just to play and have been for many years and was sad that it closed before the new owner acquired it.

Great course especially for the price you pay. Very open. Great place to play if you want to feel good about your game. Always a great time at Country Lake!

It’s not worth the money they are asking. The layout is beautiful….. but it ends there. I get it that it’s under new ownership by the same people that own a very nice course, but the nice course doesn’t translate to this course till it majorly improves. This by all standards is a $30-$35 course. Layout is beautiful as mentioned earlier. I understand that the night before there were horrible storms, but it should have been discounted at playing time cause the greens were trashed, Limbs everywhere leaves all over just awful. Pace of play was terrible. The foursome ahead played at a senior pace while playing as if they never played before and our twosome played fast. We watched two open holes ahead while they group took there time.

This has potential if done correctly.

The staff is courteous and helpful in every way.

My wife had a hole in one on Hole 2 !

I had an eagle on the Hole 7 par 4 !

There is a large putting green

And a high tech outdoor driving range !.

Come out for an enjoyable round !

You can’t play any better course for cheaper. Not only is the course well kept, but they never give you any hassle.

I will say. I wish the water tanks were out when I played because it was very humid.

This place is a hidden gem, course is challenging and pace of play is outstanding. Cart paths are a bit rough but still a place I will play a few times a month.

Course is very golfer friendly.. They are working hard to improve course conditions. Priced right for the value.

booked a tee time for 5:28 PM and arrived to check in around 5:20. Despite having a reservation, a walk-in group of four was allowed to tee off ahead of our twosome. This immediately created a backup, especially since the 5:17 group turned out to be a group of six. Pace of play became extremely slow, and we ultimately skipped holes 7 and 8 just to finish, while still facing roughly 10-minute waits at nearly every tee box.

While the course can’t control the etiquette of every group, better management and enforcement of tee times could have prevented the situation from becoming so congested.

Unfortunately, the course conditions also left a lot to be desired. The rough was overgrown with clover up to ankle height just off the fairways, the cart paths were in very poor condition, and nearly every cart appeared to have less than 20% battery remaining.

While I understand I chose to pay for 18 holes with a 5:28 tee time, I certainly wasn’t expecting to be unable to even complete 9 holes before carts had to be returned.This

Course layout was good. Fairways and greens had good character to keep things interesting.

Biggest complaint was greens were rough.
