Poor Management
Me and my two brothers booked a 1:52pm tee time on Thurs April 25th. We paid over $100 for 3 of us to play 18. We teed off and my eldest 65-year-old brother shot a 39 on the front nine. Unfortunately, here is where poor course management disrupted a perfect family round of golf.
We came down hole number eight along the roadway and notice several large groups of 6 golfers heading up 11 and 12. I asked my brother where are these guys coming from? Well, soon enough we found out! We finished hole nine and we saw 8-9 guys waiting
to tee off on number 10! Right in front of us!! Ridiculous!! It was 3:26pm.
I stopped and asked what was going on and one guy said" leagues". At 3:30pm in the afternoon???
We certainly weren't going to play behind a league with groups of 6!!!
So, we went to pro shop. The young lady who took our $100 was there and I explained the circumstance. Opps...sorry was all I got. Lame! She gave us no warning a league would be going out in front of us at 3:30pm.
She "gave" us a rain check for nine holes which was woefully unacceptable. Another older woman was there as well and stepped in to help with the refund of nine holes. Not even worth the long drive out there for nine holes.
I didn't want to cause a scene because the place was a madhouse. Apparently, no one understands how to run a league at Incline. They were not supposed to go off until 4pm., but "someone" was handing out golf carts and the league just "went off" a 3:20pm. How ridiculous to put a league in front of paying customers!
I wrote Incline Village Golf Course to express my disappointment and received absolutely nothing in reply.
Take your chances with this golf course. Never again for me and my brothers!
Pretty Wet
Even though the course had received 2+ iinches of rain the previous night, the course had drained well and was very playable.
Not in great shape
I normally enjoy playing this course but so far, and granted its early in the season it is not in very good shape at all especially on the front nine. So many clumps of grass around the greens it's difficult to chip on or even putt when you're just off the edge. The clumps of grass get in the way for doing either. I probably won't be back until later in the season when hopefully it will be in better shape.
Nice Greens, too crowded
The greens were nice and the course is beautiful but there is no one driving around making sure people are playing at pace. A little frustrating when it takes 5 hours to play 18 with only 2 people.
Spring golf
It’s early in the golf season in Missouri, the course is in rough shape but I’m sure they will bring it back
Unsure
Family emergency- had to leave immediately- We only played 6 holes. Didn't bother asking for a rain check on the way out.
Great to be able to get out in Feb.
Other than the tee boxes needing a lot attention the course in general looked good for this time of year.
It was ok
11:00 Tee time. We arrived early but no food offering in the clubhouse except chips and crackers. A breakfast sandwich, Brat, or hot dog would have been nice.
Course was in ok condition, typical of off season.
The first 7 holes were very slow but, at the 8th hole, the twosome in front of passed the threesome in front of them that were very slow. Luckily, they only played 9 holes and the back 9 went smoothly.
