Nice, but not overwhelming
I rate courses on two basic criteria. First, would I play there again? For Ste Genevieve, I would say yes. Course is nice. Greens are small and fast. Tees need some work. It is one of those courses that locals love because it requires some local knowledge to play.
The second criteria: is it worth the drive? For me, Ste Genevieve is about a 20 to 30 minute drive worth of a golf course. I had an hour drive to get there, so it does not meet this criteria.
Overall, nice place. Wish it was closer.
A Pleasant Place for a Relaxing Round of Golf
Even in the extremely dry conditions, the course was very playable. Par 3's were the most challenging with postage stamp size greens, false fronts, and greenside bunkers which made the course interesting. Definitely worth the investment to play here.
October Review Ste Gen
Today’s play was very slow due front 9 closed greens dressing. The course is in great shape even without rain. Always feel welcome when we play this course.. we always will recommend this course to our friends.
Great wide course, many doglegs
Great course! Luckily I paired up with a couple of guys who played before and could tell me the hole layouts. Quite a few dog legs but fairly wide open fairways. Would definitely recommend!
Great course. Too many large groups
Course was in great shape, but groups of 4 playing together with other groups of 4 and a group of 5 made for a very long day. We had a group of 2 but they never let us play through.
Great coarse challenging pin placement and conditioned great!
I play here often I love the coarse. It’s a coarse where you won’t get into too much trouble off the tee shots into the green create a challenge along with some tricky pin placement.
Great Round!
Course was in great condition. Clubhouse staff and Snack bar girl were very friendly.
