Nice course
Course is great. Cart paths could use quite a redo and more amenities would be nice but it is off season so understandable. Will be back and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for public golf
Fun Muni but a Little Pricey
Eagle Springs is a decent little actual muni in north St. Louis. It is not in the best section of town but the neighborhood is fine and the course is set off a pretty busy road. It is a fun course to play but probably not that challenging for good players. I’d say the course in general is in OK shape but the greens were for the most part pretty good.
No. 1 starts close by the driving range area so watch out for stray shots. The fifth hole has a 90 degree left hand bend so you likely will hit an iron or a hybrid off the tee. No. 8 is a fun par three with a small lake in the front. On the back nine, 10-13 play near the front side, but then you have a LONG drive through the parking lot to get to No. 14, which is right by the road that brings you in. I hit it close to the pin, again, and I swear if I took 500 swings, I could make an ace there!
If you are looking for a fun place to play, give ES a try. But I will say it is relatively pricey for just a regular track. Maybe even just $5-8 less would be worth it. The par 3s are good but the rest of the holes on the course all seem pretty similar and none are really that interesting. It was pretty crowded for us but that was expected on a warm fall weekend.
Rough shape
This is the first time we have played this course in a long time and it will be a long time before we go back. The course was in rough shape. The fairways were not any better than the rough and the tee boxes were not great especially the gold ones. However the greens were pretty nice, so at least that helped.
Good deal if you can catch hot deal
If you can get on a hot deal jump on it. If not price is comparable to nicer courses in the st louis area. Great layout and course is in decent shape. Just pace of play is always an issue here.

to the staff at eagle springs thank you for all your work that you are putting into the course keep it up i enjoy playing there so much if only my game would improve tit will always a work in progress

Nice course worth the drive
Course is in great shape and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Somewhat narrow fairways and small greens but a fun course to play.
