Normandie Golf
I liked the course layout but sand traps were in bad shape. Had to play all sandtraps as ground under repair. I hoping the course will invest to get that fixed because the course was good for the value.
Excellent course
This is an excellent hilly course. Greens and fairways are in great shape. I recommended this course to friends.
Entertaining layout; Can’t wait for the redesign by Jack
Wanted to play “The Rock” one last time before Jack Nicklaus redesigns it. It is still an entertaining layout but the course isn’t in great shape and past its prime.
Tee boxes and fairways are beat down. Cart paths are all broken up, too. Greens were solid but very slow. The course has fun elevation changes but I won’t miss No. 4. That hole never treats me well. I hope the fifth doesn’t change too much. I’ve almost made two aces there and want to keep trying! The final hole is a long par 3 that is over 260 and a beast. I never was able to hit my tee shot on the green.
Normandie used to be a great course and had its time but I think everyone will be eager to see Jack’s redo of the place. See you down the road!
Pleasantly surprised
This course has a great layout, only issue for me was the fairways and the slow greens. Other than that this place has some memorable fun holes and is a great value. Interested to see the revamp.
Waiting for upgrades
Layout is classic, hopefully Nicklaus can shine up this gdd we m
Old school charm
What a enjoyable round. Weather was great no one in front or behind me. Was able to peddle around in just under 3 hours. My kind of round!!
Don’t waste your money here.
Our group tee’d off right on time and it looked like there was no one on front of us. We arrived at the 2nd hole and there was a group waiting in front of us. We waited for them to tee off and gave them plenty of time before we tee’d off due to it being a blind tee shot. I hit a pretty good drive that almost hit a guy from the group in front of us. I quickly apologized and he informed us that the course let 2 groups of 4 that showed up 20 minutes late tee off right in front of us. We waited 15 minutes to play our 2nd shot on the 2nd hole and it was a 15-20 minute wait at every tee box there after. It took 3 hours to finish 9 holes in blistering heat. We had enough and tried to get a raincheck for the last 9 holes. The guy who had an attitude problem working the clubhouse flat out told us no. The best part was his reasoning. He says “You guys knew the situation you were getting into when you tee’d off”. We had no idea the course let 2 foursomes that showed up 20 minutes late tee off right before us. I’ve emailed the address shown on there website twice in the last week and received no response. They didn’t have a Marshall on the course to speed things up that day but of course they had a beer girl. Hope Jack Nicholas can help improve the course and find new employees after he helps out. One last note that was pretty comical. My buddy orders a cheeseburger before the round. The guy working pulls one out of the refrigerator, slaps a piece of cheese on it, puts it in the microwave for 30 seconds, and serves it up on a stale bun. Dead serious. Spend your money elsewhere
Needs TLC
This course could use some investment. I think the last time was when it was more popular 20-30 years ago.
