Rough
When it comes down to it we all know that Normandie has had ownership issues and we can expect the course to be rough.
However, at 30$ I expect not to lose my ball in the fair way. To have some sand in the bunkers and for the tee boxes to not have weeds taller than the tee markers.
Don’t do jt
Too many things to list, but don’t waste your money here.
Course is in terrible condition has been for about three years now
Interesting Course-Great staff!
The course was in pretty good shape but the staff was exceptional. Pat went above and beyond to ensure we got out after a big event. The tee times were backed up but he managed the situation very well and we ended up being the first group out and finished in 2 1/2 hours. If all golf courses had a Pat taking that kind of personal interest in their patrons it would make for a better golf experience!
Only play this course with an attorney, a sense of humor, patience and Lots of balls
This is my first and last time playing this course not because of the course, it was the experience. I have never reviewed a course in my life. I had an afternoon tee time. I had the course to myself for a while. The greens looked good until about the 6th green. When I hit the green there was a guy there aerating the green. He didn’t bother to stop because I was there. I thought he pulled the flag for me. Oh no. As I was putting, he drove the machine right over the hole. I thought he was going to run over my ball. I also played after a rainy day. The course was cart path only. If you play this course an it is Cary path only plead, cajole, bribe them or do what you have to do to get the 90 degree rule. The cart path was like 4 wheeling. I almost lost the cart in a pothole twice. If you stay on the cart path as I did and everyone else didn’t, I assure you that you will need an injury attorney when you are done. Surprisingly there were no advertisements for an attorney anywhere on the course. The course is not marked very well and there are lots of blind shots, as I hit a perfect 205 yard fairway shot onto the green and when I arrived there were two gentlemen standing on the green. I apologized for hitting up on them. One of them said that was a grea blind shot, but the looked upset. I had to slow my pace and had to follow them the rest of the way. The were hitting balls off of the fairway which was evident that they would never find them but that didn’t stop them from looking for about 5 minutes per ball. Lastly, you have to hit the fairways. If you miss the fairway let it go. I actually hit a green (I think number 12) and the ball bounced off and I never found it. Hit them straight or prepare to pay the price.
Nine completed/Then rained out
Loved the course layout. Pretty long front nine. Rained hard. Course unplayable. Tried to get a rain check on rained out back nine. Pro shop said i could get a nine hole refund through Golf Now. I tried but pretty much impossible. No way to contact Golf Now. Course got my money, it would have been nice if they would have given me a nine hole rain check, or something. Frustrated.
Interesting Course
A little slow on pace of play on front 9 due to holiday and 2 foursomes holding pace up, rangers did a good job speeding pace up, 3 hrs front 2 hrs on back A lot of blind shots but overall a very interesting course and will play again
A good walk spoiled
Normandie has “good bones” as a friend put it. But currently it is not being well taken care of.
Long grass just off the fairway made for numerous lost balls. Cart paths condition is so bad that you are are more safely advised to avoid them. Groups were randomly started on 1 and 10 leading to long waits for the back nine. Fairways had large areas of just dirt. Sand bunkers had little or no sand.
It was a poor experience on what could be a fun layout.
Normandie 6-10-2019
Course was in terrible shape. Fairways we 30% bare, traps were hard and crusty, tee boxes were hard as a rock and in poor condition. Greens were in pretty good shape. Pace of play was very slow. I would not recommend this course for snyone.

Cheapest round of the year with hot deal $10 so any course is worth that wouldn’t pay much more. Greens were terrible rough was knee high in some spots. A lot of rain so will give it another shot when everything dries out. For the value can’t beat it but wouldn’t pay more than $20
