Great old style course
This course was a pleasure to play. With the new upgrades that are supposed to take place this course could once again be a premiere course in the St Louis area again.
Great greens
First time playing this course since 1986. Championship layout, some memorable holes.
Greens are in great shape, rolling true and fast with remarkably few ball marks. Tee boxes are really rough. Fairways are hard as a rock, but there is grass to be found. Bunkers are non-playable. Overall, excellent value. I am hoping the new owners bring this course back to its old glory.
Neighborhood is run down, but safe. Good location close to Lambert Airport.
I will be playing here again. And sooner than 35 years from now!
Great round
Great old course. Always liked the layout. Nice staff too.
Great round
Tee off at 630 am and was a nice quick 3 hour round. It’s about to get a rehab but the course just has character like none other.
Great Experience
This is a great course, really a hidden gem. They’ve done a fabulous job with it so far this year. The greens might be comparable to a Pevely farms or even better. They looked great! The only thing they have to fix is the bunkers.
Rebuilding
Greens were in great shape. Fairways are improving and its evident grounds crew is working on course.
Greening up
Fairways are coming in but still need a couple weeks .The greens are perfect. The best hot dogs at the turn
Nice old course.
Oldest public course west of the Mississippi. As you play it’s interesting to know that people have played this course for 120 years.The cart paths show their age and are beat up and bumpy, but the course is very playable, with a nice layout and a couple of drivable par fours and ends with a 250+ par three on 18. I’ll come back and play the next time I work in St. Louis. Nice staff, it’s in a part of town that has seen better days, so you may want to avoid any stops close by.
Big Improvements at Normandie
This course has come a long way since WGM took over. Greens were the best I’ve played all year. Very challenging course will be excited to see it when it greens up in the summer
Challenging Course!
This was my first time playing Normandie. Greens were in fantastic shape and pin placement was tough! Can’t wait to come back in a few weeks when the fairways are back!
Great old course
Big trees, beautiful fairways and greens were in great shape. Place of play was alittle slow but it was a nice November day,
Do everyone came out to play
Great Course! Poor condition...
This is a fabulous course but the tee boxes and sand traps were in horrible condition. Fix these things and you get a 5 star from me!
Good course for cost
Good course for $25 that I paid. Pace of play was exceptionally slow but I wasn’t in a huge hurry so I didn’t mind too much. Course was in good condition considering the area hasn’t had a drop of rain in about 3-4 weeks. Will play there again.
