exceeded my expectations
We had not played here in years due to very high cost.
Thanks to a good deal on golfnow we decided to return. Course was in good shape but you have to put up with several doglegs and blind shots. We played in 3hrs 55min. on a relatively full course.
love layout price little high but u get what u pay for a few greens had bad spots but most in good shape
Course was just average
Had a OK time there. Tee boxes and fairways were ok, but the greens left a little to be desired. They were a little inconsistent and some had some grass problems. No beverage cart on a very hot day. Good clubhouse and nice staff
Average conditions but good time overall
Great to get out early in the season to Tapawingo. A nice Gary Player design in the Meramec River valley. Overall a sporty layout. Course conditions were about average for this time of year. Tees and rough will need some work before the summer season starts. The rough and waste areas were like a golf ball graveyard with lots of cracked and old balls that need to be cleaned out.
Pros: Nice layout, stylish and comfortable clubhouse with great views of the course, fast pace-of-play
Cons: Condition overall average, on the pricier side for St. Louis and conditions don't match the price, need to work on tee boxes and clean out the rough
Tapawingo
Only two problems, 1st the head pro isnt very customer friendly and a smart alac His name is Kevin Triefebach. The course has some issues with missing steps down to greens and a flooded cart path, the food was great and staff were friendly
One of the nier courses in the St. Louis area.
The course is in very good condition for this time of year. Can't wait to go back in spring.
Nice course
This course is very nice. Three 9 holes courses so you get a variety to play. Very well maintained and interesting layout. Regular price is a little steep but with Golfnow.com it was a great deal
One of the Best
This course is immaculate, with a very upscale feel.
Played the Meremac and Woodlands courses. Really liked the Meremac's setup, but scored better on the Woodlands. Lost a few normally findable balls with the leaves coming down this time of year, but all in all a great day on the course!
Can't wait to go back in when the fairways are green!
A nice veiw of the fall colors
A Beautiful golf course. Cool layout. Great price.
We love this course
It is great to have three nines to choose from and they are all great!
Country Club Feel at reasonable price!
Three distinctly different 9 hole courses keep it interesting. Well paced without worry of cross fairway hits. Love to play this course.
Feels like a resort course.
Played the Woodlands and Prairie courses on a cool October morning. Staff was courteous and friendly. Range was in good condition with plenty of room for golfers to warm up. Practice green was small but adequate. Course was in great shape, from tees to greens. Interesting layouts, with numerous holes having elevation changes, some severe making for challenging club selection. Also some forced carries over water. All in all, very nice course. Only minor drawback is lack of GPS on carts. At a course of this caliber, I would expect this feature. Will definitely play here again.
Tha course was in excellent shape. Pace of play was great.
I would play again. I have played here before and always enjoy the challenge.
Core Aeration on Greens....otherwise Nice.
It was aeration time for the course....hence the "Deal" on Golf Now. If I had paid Full Fare, I would have asked for a refund. It's a Great Course with several challanging Holes. Would play there more often, if the Green Fee's we're not so high.
Well worth the price
The course is very well maintained, tee times were on the minute and play was as expected, even for a Sunday afternoon!
nice course,good service
guy that checked us in was very friendly and helpful, nothing worse than going to a course and they act like you are ruining their day by showing up. but this guy was very nice. carts were nice which is a plus. Played Meramec/Woodlands. Meramec is rather plain Jane,Woodlands is spectacular.both courses in good shape. teed off at 12:30 on a Sunday, no one in front of us,pace of play excellent. there are houses around, but don't come into play. could use a couple signs on some holes to direct you to next hole,a little confusing in a couple places
Course was beautiful!
loved the layout and it is the best maintained course that we have played all year.
3 nines adds flexibility
A very well maintained layout with excellent amenities for a public access course. Tapawingo carries higher price points than average for greens fees and concessions, but delivers a country club level experience overall.
Very enjoyable
Scenic, fun-to-play course in very good condition even after several weeks of drought-like conditions. Staff was friendly and helpful in accommodating request to move up to earlier tee-time.
