usually Overpriced
I know normal cost of 18 for this course on a weekend is $80+ but I wouldn't pay that much to play here. The $42 I paid is a deal but priced pretty fair for what you're getting out of a course. $50 is about the right spot.
The tee boxes and greens are in horrible shape. Torn to pieces. In my opinion, at "nice courses" I'm paying for the greens to be in great shape and nice, even tee boxes with actual grass to hit off of.
The last three holes are cool, but the fairway on 18 approach shot is all torn up with old divots and isn't worth the normal price of admission.
As a single player most of the time golfing, never had the experience of being forced to play with other players when I asked not to. Staff didn’t care and never provided valid reasons why I couldn’t golf alone, proper golf etiquette, etc
Rude staff
I organized a golf outing for my husband and his friends. They are novice golfers and the staff was exceptionally rude to them and bothered them throughout their entire time on the course. If you are not a seasoned golfer, I do not recommend going here.
Tee boxes
Could have been bad luck, but the day I was golfing here, they were redoing at least 11 tee boxes. All the workers failed to mention that there was work being done. My girlfriend played as well and a lot of her tee boxes were at the start of the fairway. Kinda annoying, but everything other than that was great.
New to me
First time playing this course, I was very pleased. The course is layed out well and although it has it's challenges with well placed water and sand hazards, the fairways allowed a wayward shot to be played without too much of a penalty. Speaking of penalties, I took penalty strokes on 16 and 17 and managed a bogey on 18. I think I want another shot at "the best three finishing holes in Michigan".
Challenging Course
Narrow fairways. Lots of well-placed traps. Played from the black gray tees not too long but overall challenging.
Greens need more time
The only complaint were the aerated greens and some very narrow uneven tee boxes
Greystone
Course was decent. Vary narrow. 18,17,16 were really well done love the lay out. Tee boxes were bad , greens were aerated which was weird this time of year. Got a hot deal for $29 wouldnt pay more. Staff was awesome!!! Looks like it use to be a great place to play. The sprinkler was on when we approached the green and never turned off. Pretty much flooding the green.
Overall was ok could been better.
Greystone Review
Great layout for a golf course, it was built on an old quarry.
Last 3 holes have great elevation change around a lake.
Course wasn't in great shape when I played it, fairways were very dry and somewhat patchy. Fun course to play!
