Good easy course
Course is pretty wide open with some interesting holes. Greens need some TLC, grass thinning and lots of ball marks. PLEASE FIX YOUR BALL MARKS!!!
Have to do something about 6, 7, and 8.
Campbell's really is a great place to play golf. The holes vary in layout and difficulty, and the conditions are always top notch.
Not sure how this could be addressed, but the inevitable slowdown of pace of play on the 6th, 7th, and 8th holes needs to be addressed. When you have a par 3 followed by a drivable 4 - you are going to have pace issues.
Nice revisit
I had not played the course in 5 years and wanted to play a links type in honor of the OPEN. Pace of play was good, greens were in great shape (much faster than my home course). Had a great post round wrap in the restaurant.
People don't care about the course - disrespectful
The course could be so much better if the people who played it respected the course. The greens were so bad mainly due to people not fixing their pitch marks. Pace of play was not great causing the group behind us to hit into us all the time not making it enjoyable at all. Overall the course has a unique layout for the area, beautiful holes, and seems like it could be a great course to play. I would suggest a morning time to avoid the beating the greens take.
Campbell's Scottish Highlands course enjoyable experience
My son and I played the course for the 2nd time this season. The weather was good and the staff were helpful and friendly.
I really like the front 9 more so that the back 9. some of the holes are positioned oddly and tend to bunch together.
My one gripe is the GPS fencing in the carts, you can get invariably stuck in 'limp' mode if you are not aware as you search for errant shots
A Good Day on the Course
Scottish Highlands (SH) is a great local course. Not too difficult and fair. Course is well laid out and pace of play moves pretty well. Greens are hard and don’t stick so you have to adjust your approach shots accordingly. Refreshment cart is scarce. Due to popularity, SH is difficult to play on weekends.
Nice Place
The course is always well maintained. The tee times stay on schedule and the staff is friendly. Food is good too!
